I am inspired by the breathtaking photos in National Geographic magazine, particularly those that showcase the unspoiled beauty of nature in remote locations. As I view these images, I can't help but imagine the photographers feeling a sense of peace, joy, and even loneliness as they contemplate the vastness of the world and the smallness of humanity within it.

Through my work, Aurora, I aim to capture the essence of these incredible landscapes and convey the emotions they evoke. The title, Aurora, pays tribute to the magnificent sky and the snowy mountains and forests below. I want my audience to be able to see the reflection of the mountaintops on the surface of the lakes and to feel the chill of the crisp, clean air. This landscape should feel untouched and filled with love.

Aurora is written for solo saxophone and electroacoustic performance. The solo saxophone part is composed primarily of extended techniques, including multiphonics to depict the mountains, practice tubes (and glass bottles) to represent the aurora, and quartertones to evoke the sense of loneliness felt by the human observer. The electroacoustic part includes traditional chamber instruments such as flute, piccolo, clarinet, bassoon, cello, and horn, as well as synthesized sounds. These instrumental sounds are seamlessly fused with the solo saxophone part to create a rich and immersive soundscape.

The electroacoustic part is composed using the latest ambisonic techniques, creating a 360-degree sound field that surrounds the audience. For the best listening experience, audiences should use speakers that support this stereo format.

This is a special guest mix. It's even difficult to call it a "guest mix". It's more of a fantasy-surreal construction of a complex imaginary world. The sounds and rich textures are so unusual and exciting that from the first second (when you find time to sit down and relax, or walk by nature perhaps), you will feel as if you are watching a full-color HD animated movie. It's interesting how this is more of a story than just an order of songs and tracks (are these even "tracks"?). It's a whole construction and formation of different worlds. Do you think the listening from the first part is just shiny, fluffy, and sparkly? Wait for the dark transformation around the 17th minute of the mix. Enjoy the mix :-)
