Seladorian boss man (job share) Dave Seaman, as well as being a DJ and music producer par excellence, has always been something of a wordsmith. The one-time Mixmag editor thus specialises in some of the best track titles known to humankind… and here's further evidence should you need it. 'Inflammable Contraband' perfectly encapsulates the tuneage herein. Inflammable? You better believe it! This incendiary device is guaranteed to set decks, dancefloors and headphones ablaze from the outset. Handle with extreme care. Contraband? Abso-effing-lutely! Be warned, there's an unusually high risk of arrest if caught in possession of such a lethal musical weapon. Keep youR head down, and your powder dry. Needless to say, Dave is on something of a roll right now, with not only his solo releases but also a string of collabs with the mighty Quivver rocking floors and topping charts all year. And just as he has for the last 35 years, he continues to tour the globe spreading his own unique blend of House, Techno & All Flavours Inbetween. In his spare time you can find him peddling firecrackers at Pyromaniacs Anonymous meetings. A veritable disco inferno then.

Our seventh vinyl chapter at Small Great Things is presented by our residents Quadrakey. The limited vinyl and digital release, titled "Head Over Heels EP," consists of three original tracks and two remixes. This collection seamlessly fuses deep and classic house vibes with contemporary beats, ensuring a fresh dance floor experience.

Starting with the A1 side, 'Head Over Heels' kicks off the journey with a deep house groove complemented by stabs and a robust bassline. Moving to the A2 track, 'Yeah' takes center stage with its infectious groovy bassline, piano chords, and captivating drums. The A3 track, "2 Ways Out," adds a touch of nostalgia with hints of the 80s.

Flipping over to the B side, we come across two remixes. On B1, Luca Olivotto delivers a disco-house dance floor-ready cut, featuring vocals and guitars. B2 presents a fantastic remix from DJ Merci of the track "2 Ways Out," where he reinvents the entire production, crafting a deep house gem.

Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT - Burning Man 2019

It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?
