Kerry James Marshall's "Untitled(policeman)" developed for MoMA's permanent collection audio guide.  The thematic tour "Beyond the Uniform," was a co-creation with the security officers of MoMA, many of whom are artists themselves.  Featuring the voice of Kevin Reid, a.k.a. the musician Luxureid.

The National Film and Sound Archive is proud to present an excerpt from the rare, first remote field recordings of John Hutchinson, whose content is the voices of Aboriginal individuals and communities encountered in his travels.

This recording is shared with permissions from elders of the Wangka Maya, Pilbara Region community. Please be aware, this recording includes the voices of Aboriginal people.

General note: An Aboriginal man, local to the Mulga Downs Station, sings a song from his community. It tells the story of the first time a truck pulled into the station to transport the large wool bales. Previously, camels had been used and the sighting of such a machine was a notable event in the lives of local Aboriginals. The song (in language) is followed by an English explanation from the singer.

Ravens, Crested Bellbird. Twenty-eight, Parrot, Grey Shrike-Thrush, Southern Scrub Robin.

Edge of rocky outcrop in the Wheatbelt. Low trees and shrubs. Water run-off from rocks gave healthy undergrowth around outcrop perimeter which supported a high bird population. Competition for this area induced vigorous bird song.
