La fuga di Dedalo [2020 : 10'27'']
L'un des plus anciens rêves de l’humanité a été de voler. L'homme a toujours souhaité franchir les frontières, se rapprocher de ses dieux ou tout simplement ressentir cette sensation de liberté que l'on peut avoir en observant les oiseaux. Léonard de Vinci, archétype de l’homme de la renaissance, était avant tout, selon ses propres mots, inventeur et ingénieur. Ceci nous est prouvé par le Codex, une œuvre pourtant moins connue qui l'occupa une grande partie de sa vie. Malgré la perte de certaines de ses notes, passées de main en main à travers les époques, la majorité de ses écrits nous reste aujourd'hui en plusieurs volumes. La fuga di Dedalo s'inspire du Codex de Turin, grand traité sur les animaux, dont il essaye de déchiffrer les secrets, et les machines volantes. L'œuvre suit la structure de l'ouvrage : 1/ vol des oiseaux battant des ailes, 2/ vol des oiseaux planant (sans battre des ailes), 3/ point commun dans la façon de voler entre oiseaux et chauves-souris, poissons volants et autres insectes, 4/ idées pour construire des machines volantes.
Né en Colombie, Giovanni López Barbosa commence ses études au conservatoire de l’Université nationale de Colombie à Bogotà, où il suit le cycle préparatoire. Diplômé de pédagogie instrumentale spécialité trompette à l’Université pédagogique nationale de Colombie, il a travaillé au sein de plusieurs formations comme trompettiste, tant dans la musique classique que populaire. Après une tournée avec une formation de musique traditionnelle du Pacifique colombien, il décide de venir en France étudier le jazz, et intègre le Paris College of Music (IMEP). Il vient d’obtenir le DEM de composition électroacoustique dans la classe de Denis Dufour et Jonathan Prager au CRR de Paris.
