Supa/Fly is a 2 track EP of funkadelic electronic jams featuring St4rfox on trumpet, and Gaddy on keyboard woven together by meticulous production from 5AM. Through whimsical, evocative riffs and soaring, evolving soundscapes, the trio has captured the essence of flight through sound. It's rare to hear recognizable samples in 5AM's music, but when an uplifting message from Steve Miller found it's way onto an equally uplifting beat, Fly was born, and a new side of 5AM's sound was revealed. On May 26, 2018, beneath the near-full moon, we gathered at CoSM ~ Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, to share in journey through sound, art, celebration, and prayer. 

It was an honor to share these songs in this space of visionary convergence, prayer, and communion with the creative spirit. 

To send them out as beacons of beauty and inspiration, as offerings to the creative spirit and flame within, to the magic of the moment, and all that opens to us when we open ourselves as conduits for the highest self and the force of life.

This set is performed through live looping, building each song from the foundation up in the moment, layer by layer of vocal melody, harmony, and word. It was the opening invocation for the evening, before Erothyme and I played a collaborative set, and he closed the evening with a set of his own.

Sonic manipulator Maxfield is back with his newest release, Under the Pink Umbrella. His latest EP merges the worlds of funk and glitch hop into one harmonious union, with one heavy hitting track after the next. This Boston local pairs upbeat dance music with low end wonkiness, smashing genres together and keeping crowds moving. A chilled out break in the madness comes in the track “Spooky Bigheat,” but it still stays true to the EP’s funky, glitchy nature. From his unique track names to his experimental production style, Maxfield’s signature style is undeniable.

I try to keep my head down and not pay too much attention to numbers or reception, as I think those can distract and displace one's priorities, but also because sometimes it can be downright overwhelming. Once in a while I look up and see people listening all around the world and just feel a gratitude so deep and poignant that the only thing I can think to do to process it is just make more music. So with that said, here's a thank you mix of some of my favorite originals from the past few years along with some brand new material. It's quite a journey. The mix, and this whole creative endeavor that I'm oh so grateful to have all 5,555+ of you along for :)
