Hauswerks & Doorly rekindle their occasional collaboration for two more slices of house magic on Get Physical Music. 

The pair last appeared on the label with 2018's 'Another Wrong Turn', which proved huge. And it's no wonder because Hauswerks has been at the sharp end of underground house and tech for more than a decade. He's appeared on leading labels like Hot Creations and Moon Harbour, and always remains one step ahead of the game. Meanwhile, Doorly is also a global player with credits on Cajual and Play It Say It. He’s a main room house man who can make an impact on even the biggest crowds, as well as being a BBC Radio 1 regular and in-demand remixer. 

They open up this one with 'Baby Blues,' a steamy and late-night house track designed to turn any dance floor into a cauldron. Psychedelic keys loop over a chunky beat while shadowy voices bleed in and out of the mix. An atmospheric breakdown eventually gives way to a big drop that will power up the crowd once more. The super 'C'est Moi' is a fulsome and dubby tech house roller with weighty bass. An intoxicating vocal wail serves as a call to action and dub techno chords flesh things out even more. 

The Tribal Misfits EP brings fresh character and energy from this accomplished pair.

Get Physical Music serves up a final EP taken from Thandi Draai's standout Africa Gets Physical Vol. 4 compilation, due for release in January 2022.

The mix is an in-depth and authoritative insight into the current African house scene and its major players. It has been assembled by a leading voice, Thandi Draai, and features a number of the vocalist's own tracks. But first comes this five-track Various Artists EP.

Khensy & Cuebur open up with 'Huwelelani,' an epic, seven-minute spiritual awakening. The vocals stir your soul, the deep-rooted drums are earthy and tribal and the synths bring cosmic rays of light. Atmos Blaq is next up with a remix of Thandi Draai's 'Iris' which is a chunky roller with a late-night sense of mischief. Whispered vocals lend the track a sense of intimacy despite the grandeur of the synths. Shona SA & Sazi Cele's 'Sekukude' keeps the spine-tingling deep house sounds rolling with more exquisite pads and Afro vocals all unfolding next to thoughtful chords.

Un_nown & Zikhona link up to great effect on 'Sikelela' which layers shiny and loopy synths in with tribal percussion and pounding kicks that get you marching. Another deeply affecting vocal lights up the whole track and last of all comes Drega & Maline Aura's 'Mama Dear.' There is a beauty to the deftness of the synths and dreamy melodies of this one that sends you off in a loved-up reverie, full of hope and optimism.

This EP shows that the South African scene has never been more vibrant than it is now.

Roland Leesker's latest essential single on Get Physical comes with huge remixes from bonafide house legends Terrence Parker and K'Alexi Shelby. 

As Managing Director at Get Physical, Roland Leesker has always been a vital force. As an artist, he is in a fine run of recent form having put out singles like last year's 'Circuit Funk' and 'No Way Out' with Neil Barber, as well as collaborating with Roland Clark on ‘WTF!’ and crafting a standout cover of ‘Crazy.’ His timeless sounds never fail to bring something fresh to the floor, and that is the case once more here. 

The powerful 'Haus Music' is a muscular track with stiff stabs, prickly percussion and rock solid kicks. Old school energy abounds as a vocal repeats the title over and over and the big piano chords build the pressure. Once the drop comes, it is sure to blow the roof off any dance floor. 

First to remix is long time Detroit talent Terrence Parker. Best known for his gloriously feel-good 'Your Love' single, he always brings uplifting spiritualism and true gospel emotion to his work. Here he layers in those elements once more with warming organ chords, locked-in grooves and chunky drum funk that will appeal to all house heads. 

K'Alexi Shelby is a Windy City great who makes bumping, raw and visceral house music both solo and with the likes of Larry Heard and Robert Owens. The vital veteran goes for an acid-laced, bumping remix that is packed with synth energy and clipped drums that will inject high energy into any set. 

'Haus Musik' is a timeless package that joins the past, present and future.

Washington DC's Enamour follows up a release on Kindisch with a step over to Get Physical Music for his new Ergot EP. 

Enamour has a signature sound that is as effective in the club as it is for headphone introspection, whether he’s producing deep, melodic or progressive house. In quick time, he has built up fans around the world including influential DJs like Sasha, Lee Burridge, and Guy J. After well-received EPs on Anjunadeep, Last Night on Earth, Einmusika, and Desert Hearts, he now arrives on Get Physical Music. 

Opener 'Ergot' is a fun and stylish house cut. It is loose and fluid, with slick percussion and bubbling synths that are full of personality. The amusing combination sets the tone while a bright melody adds a gently euphoric touch. The brilliant "Dreamland' has a playful and subtly funky groove overlaid with synthwork that drips of futuristic psychedelia. Pads leave long tails in their wake with diffuse neon hues that are easy to get lost in. 'Hang in There!’ is the final tune and a serious ear-twister. The bass remains elastic as it weaves its way beneath edgy, whimsical chords that build tension and bring cosmic vibes to this memorable record. 

The three tracks are each characterful vibe-setters in their own right, with distinct sonic choices that are sure to turn heads on the dance floor. Take a trip with Enamour's Ergot EP, another widescreen showcase of his well-crafted sounds and unique style.

‘Kami’ is another superb EP to be taken from Monkey Safari's forthcoming Body Language 24 mix. 

This year has been all about Monkey Safari and the fantastic selection of singles from their forthcoming mix. Each one, whether an original or a remix, has been a crucial house cut. They have ranged from late night and seductive to more deep and driving and they come after many years of such output on this label as well as their own Hommage. Now come another two tracks ahead of the full 18-track compilation. 

Opener 'Kami' is a loose and mysterious house cut. The rooted drums are hypnotic as curious melodies hang in the air above. Tender vocal sounds bleed into the mix to build the sense of soul and after a gentle breakdown the candle-lit vibes continue once more. 'Light of Day' then layers up hang drums, tambourines and drawn-out chords to make for an intoxicating and exotic house brew with a Middle Eastern edge. 

Monkey Safari's Kami EP is another essential house offering from these German mainstays.

Get Physical revisits Karol XVII & MB Valence's 'Bang Bang' hit with a pair of fresh new remixes from Nick Curly and Jori Hulkkonen. 

The original 'Bang Bang' Back to 2013 Mix dropped early in the year and was another of the Polish pair's well designed, highly functional but also brilliantly charming grooves. First up to remix is Nick Curly, one of the most constant tech house players of the last 15 years. The 8Bit boss fomented his own famous Mannheim sound from his home in Germany and now shows he is still right at the sharp end. His mix sits the drums perfectly in the bass for a nice dubbed-out groove. Warm chords are smeared across the track next to tumbling toms and alluring female vocal sounds. They bring a sense of soul to this most cool of grooves. 

Jori Hulkkonen is a hugely prolific Finnish artist who has served up plenty of adventurous and synth-heavy techno and dub albums on labels like My Favourite Robot. He brings his fine studio know-how to this remix which is infinitely deep and widescreen. The angelic vocals float in the air above pillowy synths and a slick house beat which together lock you into a mindful state. 

The still-fresh original 'Bang Bang' (Back to 2013 Mix) is also included once more and is sure, along with the new remixes, to be heard on the world's finest dance floors this summer.

Get Physical's Roland Leesker returns to the label with a storytelling new single that comes with a remix from Confidential Recipe. 

This is Leesker's second outing on the label this year after February's timeless 'Haus Musik' package. That was the latest in a small but carefully curated series of releases from the artist who has seen recent remixes from Scan7, Terrence Parker and Francesco Tristano and never fails to infuse classic sounds with new school ideas. 

This new single is informed by a Japanese legend of the Heian Period in the late 10th century. Ibaraki-doji, a notorious Oni, resided at Rashomon Gate in Kyoto and harassed people who tried to pass through the gate until a heroic samurai named Watanabe no Tsuna subdued the creature. The battle raged on until Tsuna drew his katana and severed the arm of the demon. A few days later, an elderly woman claiming to be Tsuna's aunt came to visit him and asked her nephew to recount how he fought with the oni. Tsuna mentioned that he had Ibaraki-doji's severed arm in his possession and his aunt was curious to see it. When he revealed the arm, his aunt unveiled herself as Ibaraki-doji in disguise. She grabbed the arm and escaped from Tsuna's mansion. However, even after retrieving the arm, Ibaraki-doji never returned to dwell at Rashomon Gate again. 

The 'The Demon at Rashomon' single musically depicts this tale and comes with epic artwork that brings the story visually to life courtesy of Rio based artist Paula Lles. The record has a body-popping, electro-infused and breakbeat-driven groove that will fire up any dance floor. The bass is big and powerful and the turbulent synths, acid squelches and yelping vocals all bring a battle-ready vibe. It makes for a unique and high-impact tune from Leesker who once again co-produced this with Neil Barber at Hot Kitchen Studios in Berlin. 

Venezuela's pioneering rave ambassador Confidential Recipe remixes and brings with him a fresh mix of tech, electro and house. He has landed on labels like Rekids and RSPX and shows why here. His take is a warm, big and bouncy acid cut with silky drums and vocal yelps adding extra intensity to the groove. 

This is a brilliantly colourful package from Get Physical.

Dani Boom and Pernett come together for a superb new single that features a remix from Get Physical label co-founder M.A.N.D.Y. 

Dani Boom is one of the architects of the rave scene in his native Colombia. He lived in Europe in the 90s, soaking up rave influences and is co-founder of Systema Solar, a fiery live act much loved by Gilles Peterson. He has produced plenty under his own name and fuses traditional Colombian sounds with techno beats. Pernett is a fellow legendary Colombian producer and composer who has toured Europe, dropped albums on labels like Sony and Discosoye, and uses all manner of wonderful ancient instruments to make his music. 

Their 'Amor Profundo' is a steamy house single with rich Latin percussion. The drums are lively and the wooden hits, bubbling synths and Spanish vocals all bring the heat. Some mystic flutes add further intoxicating charm to this beautifully organic tune. 

M.A.N.D.Y. is one of the most iconic acts in electronic music from the past two decades. They founded and helped to define this label with their music, and have served up landmark mixes and plenty of classic tunes while touring the world playing high-profile clubs and festivals. Now operating as a solo project from founding member Patrick Bodmer, here he serves up a stripped-back and stylish remix that goes deeper and darker, with brooding bass and hypnotic synth loops that lock you in a trance. The vocals bring a spine-tinging atmosphere and make this a modern M.A.N.D.Y. classic. 

This is a typically cultured house package from Get Physical.

David Hasert and Minoas Cirillo combine their skills for a standout new single on Get Physical Music that comes with a remix from the legendary Thomas Gandey. 

German DJ and live act David Hasert is the founder of LIKE Records. His low-key but atmospheric sound fuses deepness, dub and house music into captivating basement sounds. For this one, he links with fellow Cologne-based LIKE artist and sometime collaborator Minoas Cirillo. 

Their 'Break Silent' (Extended Club Mix) is a brilliant mix of well-crafted breakbeats and icy hi hats. It's an atmospheric tune with warm pads, rising chords and an emotive male vocal full of dusty soul and real feeling. Shimmering melodies light up the track to add an extra layer of richness that is sure to leave an indelible mark on the dance floor. 

Thomas Gandey aka Caged Baby is a prolific underground presence who has finely tuned his expressive minimal sound over the years on a wide range of influential labels. Here he spins out the original into a stripped back cut with big, frazzled bass that bounces beneath the original vocal as tripped out pads and effects take the tune into a wholly different realm. 

This new package offers stylish club sounds with a contemporary twist.

Berlin-based live music mainstay @kristina-sheli joins forces with celebrated Scottish producer The Revenge for a brilliant new EP on Get Physical Music. 

Sheli was born in Georgia but has made her mark on the Berlin scene where she’s lived over the last decade. She is a live performer and vocalist who has played with various bands at places like Kater Blau and for labels such as King Street and Hive Audio. She also runs her own 4PAWS Records and has collaborated with respected artists across the worlds of house, trip-hop and soul. One of them is The Revenge aka Graeme Clark who is known for his sublime and forward-thinking productions. From dusty disco to deep house he does it all to great acclaim, often on his Roar Groove imprint or with Craig Smith as 6th Borough Project. 

First comes 'Running Undercover,' a brilliantly minimal synth house tune with clipped kicks and dry hits. A taught and catchy bassline props up the infectious groove as Kristina's steamy, intimate vocal line brings a sense of mystery. Though subtle and restrained, this tune has the potential to become a real underground anthem, not least because of the playful sax notes at the breakdown. 

'Something More' is another gem, this time with leggy drums and percolating bass under cosmic and shimmering chords. The exquisite vocal from Kristina is loose and airy, soaring up high as pulsing bass notes keep the groove and synths bring feelings of magical melancholy. 

These are two artful and original tunes from this fantastic pairing.

Cuba, Get Physical! is a new various artists series curated by Cuban pair PAUZA. This EP features music from them, Okanan, Kike Wolf and Joan Coffigny.

The Get Physical label has spent much of it’s recent time partnering with local DJs and party crews around the world in a bid to build awareness around local scenes. Previous chapters have draw on the musical talents of Africa, India, Detroit & Croatia and now it is the turn of this most storied of musical islands to take it’s turn. Cuba, Get Physical!

The collection shines a light on the rich house sounds of the Caribbean country and kicks off with Havana's Pauza. Paula Fernandez and Zahira Seanchez's 'Caliente' is a sun-kissed, deeply musical house track with tender Spanish vocals from Cuban singer-songwriter Arema Arega. It is then Okana who offers 'Asere,' a stripped-back and shuffling house cut with a warm and oversized bassline. Gentle bell sounds and tinkling percussion detail the beats, as do rolling hand drums that instantly bring the Cuban vibes.

Kike Wolf is Enrique Maresma, a DJ and producer and one of the founders of the acid techno movement in Cuba. His 'Tropical Interference' is a lively cut run-through with fizzing synths, Afro drum patterns and jumbled percussion that brings irresistible Latin flair. Last of all is Havana's Joan Coffigny, an event organiser and key force in the scene with credits on labels like Confederation Records and Roland Ultra. He mixes up rich percussive patterns and scattered hits with Spanish vocal chants. The kinky house grooves are full of colour and emotion and bring a sunny feel to any set.

This is a fantastic taster of the rich array of underground sounds coming out of Cuba.
