This song is a bit campy. The core of this thing is pure Isley Brothers' formula from the 70s -- they had these no nonsense, hard slamming funk songs that just went on forever (and you want them to). And there's also a healthy dose of 80s/90s slinky funk guilty pleasures like Grace Jones, Sade, & Seal.

L’observateur observé. Un genre de méditation sonore où J’ai voulu mélanger différents genres musicaux avec vers la fin une intervention de Taf, mon ami Sénégalais qui a posé sa très belle voix, c’est un voyage « Inside » car il se passe beaucoup de choses à l’intérieur de notre cerveau humain, entre le conscient le subconscient, le supra conscient, à la fin ça fait beaucoup de monde et ils ne sont pas toujours tous d’accord, on dirait même que des fois il se prennent la tête l’un dit quelque chose, l’autre dit autre chose.
Mais puisqu’en nous subsiste un infini espace d’une grande profondeur où règne la paix, le calme, le silence parfois comme un guide qui nous emmène ailleurs, vers l’invisible, peut être vers cette énergie cosmique, vers les étoiles, vers la lumière, plus haut, plus loin….

This song is for Ken or artist name 'K2 and the 3' and member of Eclectic Collective. Ken is a wonderful person and a fabulous multi instrumentalist and shines particularly brilliantly behind a drum kit. The song lyrics actually reflect our straight up interactions which I love a lot very nicely I think. I've written this song with stabs and stops in mind. I'm always impressed at how drummers can drive feel in drop outs with both silence and solo fills so we might focus a little bit more on that for the band version of this song when we can. Mark alluded to this maybe being something we forget to do more and I completely agree when looking at my own songs.. I'm a noob when it comes to drums so it will be fascinating to see what this ends up after a great drummer has wrapped their head around it and given it that rhythmically focused human backbone. Drummers impress me the most I think largely because I get that big wow of... I actually can't ever do that. I do however love absorbing what drummers project and maybe try and get better at imagining what could be there even if I cant play them that usually helps creativity elsewhere in a piece. That dream of what could be there...

This demo purposely has a simple easy to follow beat simply so I could lock in my guitar rhythm tight and I also want to have that solid comparison with an future EC version with that human result vs the convenience of this and a drum machine. Should end up a ripping rocker this one
