This work takes its title from the famous piece by Jimi Hendrix "Purple haze"
and explores some of the possibilities offered by stubborn rhythms, this occurs alternating with phases of accumulation, phases of release and very relaxed phases, thus trying to create various plots between the timbres involved and a functional narrative. The starting sound material consists in sampling the sounds emitted by a prepared electric guitar.

Questo lavoro prende il titolo dal celeberrimo brano di Jimi Hendrix “Purple haze”
ed esplora alcune delle possibilità offerte dai ritmi ostinati, ciò avviene in alternanza con fasi di accumulazione, fasi di rilascio e fasi molto distese, cercando dunque di creare varie trame fra i timbri messi in gioco ed una narrazione funzionale. Il materiale sonoro di partenza consiste nel campionamento dei suoni emessi da una chitarra elettrica preparata.

I am a musician and composer of Campania origin born in Benevento in 1990. My debut in the musical world saw me engaged as a guitarist in various independent bands that gravitate around musical subgenres attributable to rock, in more recent times I have also had experiences as a drummer . In 2013 I became passionate about electronic music starting a course of study at the Benevento conservatory which ended in 2017, the year in which I chose to move to Turin to complete the cycle of studies. I recently completed my career by obtaining a second level academic degree in electronic music. Among my interests there is the study of programming aimed at the generation of musical figures and structures and soon (hopefully) I will open a site where it will be possible to download free material of various kinds including some useful tools for the composition. The intent often present in my works can be summarized as an attempt at hybridization between musical worlds that have had independent historical developments. My field of musical research has its roots in genres such as post rock, math rock, prog rock, psychedelic rock, IDM, drone, ambient, acousmatic, electroacoustic and contemporary.

Sono un musicista e compositore di origine campana nato a Benevento nel 1990.  Il mio esordio nel mondo musicale mi ha visto impegnato come chitarrista in varie band indipendenti che gravitano intorno a sottogeneri musicali riconducibili al rock, in tempi più recenti ho avuto anche esperienze come batterista. Nel 2013 mi sono appassionato alla musica elettronica cominciando un percorso di studi al conservatorio di Benevento concluso nel 2017, anno in cui ho scelto di trasferirmi a Torino per completare il ciclo di studi. Di recente ho concluso il mio percorso ottenendo il diploma accademico di secondo livello in musica elettronica. Fra i miei interessi c'è lo studio della programmazione volto alla generazione di figure e strutture musicali e presto (si spera) aprirò un sito dove sarà possibile scaricare gratuitamente materiale di vario genere fra cui alcuni strumenti utili per la composizione. L'intento spesso presente nelle mie opere può essere sintetizzato come un tentativo di ibridazione fra mondi musicali che hanno avuto sviluppi storici indipendenti fra loro. Il mio campo di ricerca musicale affonda le radici in generi come il post rock, math rock, prog rock, psychedelic rock, IDM, drone, ambient, acusmatica, elettroacustica e contemporanea.
