The undertow has grabbed a hold
I’m giving in, although…
I feel alright
I’ve no will to fight
I dropped the anchor thru the hull
And then I sank her, though
What’s left afloat 
Can make our lifeboat

I feel the current nudging us to set out
We gotta keep the best, drop the rest
There’s some wind left in our clouds
It’s either sink or swim, lose or win
We just better figure it out
Before we hit landfall

We’re still afloat, soaked to the bone
at last we’re heading home
All stars at night
But still no searchlight
If I see land, I’ll try again to be a better man
Cuz I know you know
I’ve been down below

The dips and swells are playing hell with our hearts
We gotta keep the best, dump the rest
Let it drift down to the sharks
