(I began withdrawing from many of our activities, I spent many hours each day, staring at the wall of my room, trying to understand what was wrong with me)
Come with me, to another world. Free your mind and your soul.
All things considered are pulled away, for a time I'll walk this twisted byway.
Colors of blue and florescent grey, as I ascend subconscious archways.
(Here a little, there a little, focus lost again.)
Fluid emotion fills my vehicle, a roadmap of memories my obstacle.
My Paint peels off, my model unsure, sometimes seems there's no road to a cure.
I can see everything, except for what's around me
I can be anyone, except for who I'm supposed to be
Confusion seeps into the core of me
I scream in silence, but in your illusion I am free

Sometimes I see you out the window, careful planning viewed from my place below.
Maybe if you rode along, then you would see, but then you'd risk being lost with me.
(I went into my apartment, and before doing anything else, I carefully covered all of the mirrors without looking into them, and I put on some music and just spent some time hanging out.)

Twisted skies of grey overshadow the cloud that rests upon my heart.
Meaningless shards of broken dreams scattered the life that's torn apart. 
 Maybe today will be the day I finally see past futility.
Maybe today I'll see the sun peek through the fog over the trees.

Solitary Refinement FINAL

Art is an outlet for the soul to bleed living images of a pure emotion into others. When not adulterated by sophism, greed, or pride, the result can be the creation of a new universe within the psyche of an attentive listener. If I can learn to bleed as much as I attend, maybe I can find peace through being understood "in a way words cannot describe".
