There’s a great sense for taming nostalgia in Lithuanian-born Klimas’ work. Based in Kaunas, real name Rokas Klimas works on setting his signature sound with a great passion for the genres of the past that flourished at the end of the previous century. The production is obviously dipped in Italo,  New Wave, and New Beat more than anything else but also showcases a huge amount of interest for the dancer of modern times through investigations of minimal techno, electro, d’n’b, and dubstep. His allies for getting the more convincing sounds are machines from the USSR era, vintage synthesizers, and other gadgets in the studio. Klimas’ background also includes some action with the Rebel Army group that got its big sound system-ready EP released on Mixmag and VNTGRD labels. 

With his long-term collaborator Tautvydas, Klimas started a label-slash-music-sharing-space in Kaunas called Lempa. As a producer, he promises a lot of stories from the past in the future.
