Matteo Ciccarone, better known as Sickarone, is a producer from Turin with a sound shaped by Jungle, Garage, Footwork, and everything in between. His works are entirely made on his hardware setup: an old MPC sequencing various drum machines and synths, allowing him to express his musical ideas in the most direct way possible. His productions are full of nostalgic, properly chopped breaks, tons of pitched and hypnotic vocals and deep subs.

In a blizzard of breakbeats, b-lines and acid hooks, Denham Audio have brought new urgency and vitality to the modern rave scene. The sound they’re pushing is rooted in the legacy of UK Hardcore, but those foundational sounds and styles are given a thorough spruce up, feeding into the buoyant areas of exploration happening between 140 and 160 BPM. Releases have been coming thick and fast, from early outings on Nineteen Ninety Four and Artifice through to a blistering run on WNCL, Frendzone! (alongside Violet), Lobster Theremin, Sneaker Social Club and more. Across these 12”s you can hear every shred of influence spilling out – from the upfront Hardcore and Jungle through to Hip-Hop and Reggae, and beyond the confines of music into Sci-fi and Anime.

In 2022, in their review of the Chloé Robinson and DJ ADHD ‘Steamin’ EP, Resident Advisor predicted that “we'll be hearing from Chloé Robinson for summers to come…” This summer that predication is set to come true as the Pretty Weird label founder, DJ and producer Chloé Robinson once again teams up creative partner and fellow club-sounds tour-de-force DJ ADHD on a collaborative new EP set for release on fabric Originals this September. 

Individually and together, Chloé Robinson and DJ ADHD are becoming one of the most formidable and creative pairings in the electronic music circuit today. Adding to a string of successful releases and collaborations, today [16.08.23] they announce a brand new EP set for release on fabric London’s imprint for original club orientated music, fabric Originals. 

Dream EP is a dedicated and detailed collection of sounds that melds an enthralling blend of their signature polyrhythmic techno, electro, UK garage and more, cementing the artists as multi-skilled producers with an array of sonic strings to their bow. Primarily though, at their heart, these tracks simply lace together enthralling, dancefloor oriented club-music bliss. Three collaborative tracks from the pair plus one solo track from DJ ADHD make up the project, with the new track ‘Get Me’ out today to mark the announcement. 

With previous releases and collaborations like Chloé’s production debut on the EP Steamin’, which included the Four Tet remix of ‘Pax’, and subsequent explosive tracks like the ‘Get In The Bin’ featuring Nikki Nair, the duo have made a considerable impact with their productions, seeing in rave reviews from publications like Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and Mixmag. Now, the duo are back with a four-track EP that omits rhythm, textures, flavours and vocals that bring us straight back into no-frills dance floor bliss.

Lai Raw the Bohemian Rawsauce Chameleon is a sub-species of the Mega Buff Familia Casablanca. Lai Raw is best known for being capable of shifting to different hues and varying degrees of funk which allows him to regulate his beat temperature into a plethora of colourful break styles. When hunting for new music to lay down in clubs, Lai Raw has the uncanny ability to move his ears in two different directions at once so that his engineering brain can constantly analyse and separate the individual sounds of his environment. However, the belief that the chameleon can change to match his surroundings is a common misconception. In the making of the Invisible EP, sitting and feeling unnoticed on a tree branch, Lai Raw used his sticky, projectile tongue to catch cute samples and Jersey Club riddims. Including a renegade remix by Moodrich, these were then converted into six tracks which vary in colouration and tempo. The colours stand out so vividly that it is hard to imagine what’s happening or if they serve any natural purpose but to break backs again.

Thick clouds of smoke billowed high above the rooftops, the town below had been decimated by flames. What had began as a small fire had quickly torn through the streets, leaving the buildings engulfed in vibrant shades of orange and auburn. All that remained were piles of rubble and empty structures, an uninhabitable ghost town that would soon be forgotten.
