The artist perspective of artwork conveys the cross of  St. Peter’s Church as a symbol of what Christ built his church on; which was his disciple Peter. The servant of the Lord Peter ; was flawed and misunderstood, but also had a heart for God. He three(3) times denied Jesus, but Jesus still showed his love to him afterwards.

Soul Cry: Reflection

This is a metaphorically anger- induced reaction of a guy who has gotten tired of all the rants and insults among his family, friends, and colleagues. So he decides to take it to the streets with his voice as a therapeutic response to let out his anger in a non- physically violent manner. In short, when the lamb becomes the lion.

The perception of a ghetto kid’s definition of a down Homie from emotional state(s) of upliftment (speaking of evolution and revolution to  (rise) as in being down for the cause, putting in work (riding as in being their for the block), and being down as in underprivileged and frustrated from a broken spirit resulting in these actions.

Coming To The Chi_Mastered

I’m an artist that goes by the name of C- Visions who once resided in Chicago’s Westside Housing Development (Rockwell Gardens) known as The Garden in my music references. C- Visions is also a fan of hip- hop, and has always had a love for music. My Mom always played music and it was strongly influenced by her and those around me. Music was the only thing we had to make us feel good when we lacked basic human needs while in poverty. It was a way that the hood would come together. The music that I’ve shared openly is a glimpse into the world of the ghetto life we observed, experienced, and lived from perspective in certain conditions. The tracks that you listen to from me are done in one take and are unedited. The reason why I did this; is so that those who listen, would get the same feeling I felt when I got inspired to freestyle on the track. This is true art,  and it is unapologetic. This is my offering of accolades to those whom I’ve loved and lost tragically from the Battlefield we know as Rockwell Gardens. And, also to show homage and respect to my city which I so proudly reside, appreciate, and love….. Chicago. My goal is to show through art a descriptive narrative that has been disregarded and is partly why people of urban descent are misunderstood for the way they are. Please listen and share. God Bless all who read this with an open- minded perspective. The upbringing I experienced was a difficult one, and I thank GOD that HE brought me through it. I’m not condoning violence in anyway; I’m just trying to show from perspective what I made it through, and to honor all those that didn’t. I’ve used my freestyles to cope with anger, stress, anxiety, and depression. I’m away with trying to uphold traditional teachings that “ A Man Shouldn’t Cry, Speak About His Problems” etc. I’m breaking traditional curses in my own way by changing the narrative. We must unlearn things that are parents taught us, and forgive them for their ignorance in areas that were passed down to them that were destructive generational curses. Each one, teach one. I hope this gives clarity and understanding to what I set out to accomplish in my mission to teach through the art of music.🙏
