Primitive is the commentary on my personal feelings about the situations, that evoke the urge to change in time. This is a trial of contemplating reality via exploring emotional depths spliting them up into primitive chunks, something basic and primal for a brighter self-clarification to prepare to move on.

Alternative musician based in Newport, South Wales.

Dan Burridge can pinpoint the moment that sparked his flourish of psychedelic songwriting. Unwittingly scouring Youtube, he saw a clip he would not forget. He heard catchy basslines, sprawling guitar   riffs and choppy chord changes. He saw a spaced-out audience, sporting painted faces and loose-fitting ponchos. Then he saw the band: Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, their hair flopping free and defiant. Jamming on the cliffs of coastal California, they were buoyed by the glistening blue Pacific backdrop. Dan was hooked.
The rivers are less picturesque in his hometown of Newport, South Wales, but the feel and the emotion from that late-60s summertime endures in Dan’s music. His debut single ‘Ride Again’, released August 2019, attracted applause for its originality, crafting these psychedelia influences with contemporary indie rock vibes. 2020 shows great promise for Dan. With his newly recruited band, he aims to emulate his heroes at gigs and festivals. His next single ‘Just Fooling Around’ is released on 20 March 2020. Recorded and produced by Phil Smith at One Louder Studios, it further explores the treasure trove of 60s sounds. The result is a formidable rock and roll tune. Dan has also produced a trippy video with Focus Shift Films.
