Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

Title track ‘Siberian Express’ begins blissfully with a hypnotic melody that leads into a deep swelling bass, a forceful beat and intricate layers of warbling keys. An epic breakdown rises from grumbling synths culminating with Jamie’s signature bassline and spacey stabs, as powerful builds fall in and out of play. On the flip, ‘Captain Kirk’s Battle Dance’ is solid and rolls with infectious looped basslines that steers through trippy FX. On a darker tip, ‘The 16th Floor’ is rich and deep with mesmerising synths, layered throughout over a tight groove. 

o+ Undoubtedly the pioneer of the new wave of house music, Jamie Jones is a force to be reckoned with. Alongside running Hot Creations and sub-label Hot Trax, Jamie has also started his new label Emerald City, which will release music with a greater crossover appeal. 2015 has brought forward a huge output of music from Jamie including a stunning collaboration with Kate Simko, London Electronic Orchestra and Jem Cooke on Emerald City followed by the next huge hit from his band Hot Natured called ‘Off World Lover’. Not to mention this impressive solo three tracker on Hot Creations. 

o+o Aside from spending hours in the studio and managing an intense touring schedule, Jamie also runs his night Paradise at DC10, arguably the most popular weekly night in Ibiza. Its safe to say there is no sign of slowing down for Jamie any time soon.

Steyoyoke welcomes Oliver Schories with the latest EP, 'Time Lapse'. The self-titled album includes an original by Oliver Schories, and two remixes; Pete Oak's twisted take, and Steyoyoke veterans Aaryon and Animal Picnic appealing approach to 'Time Lapse'. 

Oliver Schories has composed a climatic conversational piece with 'Time Lapse'. A simultaneously dark and bubbly track, the bass line is accompanied by dangerous melodies and mysteriously enticing vocals. Like running through a dream, Oliver Schories has successfully given his music that ethereal touch, certainly making himself sound at home.

Pete Oak's remix of 'Time Lapse' takes the vocals apart and sets them back together in an alluring manner. Pete Oak includes his own emotive reflection, producing a high-energy remix with piercing synths and hypnotic aural teasers. Complexly winsome music, Pete Oak also makes his way on Steyoyoke with this killer remix. 

Aaryon and Animal Picnic approached the task by toning down the original 'Time Lapse', focusing initially on more simple elements behind the track and using musical contrast to make the vocals and synths stand out. A deep and cryptic remix, Aaryon and Animal Picnic have managed to include their individual strengths within this piece.

'Time Lapse' is another gem to add to the Steyoyoke treasure box, embracing Oliver Schories to the roster of artists who have found Steyoyoke to be a suitable home for their creations. Aaryon, Animal Picnic, and Pete Oak warp 'Time Lapse' with their own unique touches, making this dynamic EP a real representation of what Steyoyoke is all about.

The talented DJ and Producer ShoSho has appeared on Set About,Toolroom, Material, Trapez ltd, Deeperfect, and now lands at New Violence armed with a sturdy 4 track EP, and ready to cause some mayhem.

We start procedding with 'Heroic' with its big drums, spoken vocals and chugged up bass on steroids, all wrapped up in a fierce set of drums that fire this one along with vigour. A dancefloor winner!

Up next we find 'La Pedrera', which beautifully blends the techier edge of things, with warmer and rounded synthy melodics which culminates in a bit of a winner.

'Cumba' keeps things pacey, as we plough forward meaning business. Big low end, cool percussion, trippy fx, clever vocal samples all layered nicely along this little journey, whilst still packing a mighty punch. The breakdown is a swirling bed of sounds, shrouded in a tripped out dreamlike phase before slamming back in to action.

And to round things off, its 'Da Bolkan' and its a no nonsense tech house slab of solidness, full of swagger that sets us up nicely. Add an unexpected pan-pipe line in the drop, some trippy fx and some cleverly layered subtle percussion, and we're just about there.

Premiere: ANOTR X Armand Van Helden - Funk Phenomena [No Art]

Manchester-based duo, OC & Verde, were two of last year’s best upcoming British producers, generating genre-wide acclaim through notable releases like ‘Maasai’ – released on Knee Deep In Sound. Ben O’Connor and Jon Verde are back with this groovy 2-piece EP in Solstice/Horizon, released on VIVa MUSiC.

Manchester had quite the year in 2016, as the likes of Solardo, Kaluki Music and The Warehouse Project stimulated it’s raving scene, like three decades previous. OC & Verde are one of many rising artists deriving from the city, and the pair regularly played at the infamous soap factory, Sankeys, prior to its unforeseen closure.

‘Maasai’ catapulted the pair to unforeseen sights following the endorsement of Pete Tong who named the track his Essential New Tune. However, other notable productions can be found on Suara’s Kitties Wanna Dance (Volume 7) in ‘Vertigo’ plus remixes released on Bedrock Records, Selador and Glasgow Underground.

The future is bright for these two talented producers having gained support from Hot Since 82, Coyu, Richy Ahmed, Denney and Solstice/Horizon is the perfect start to another promising year for OC & Verde.

Carl Cox is an industry figure head whose legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell. Following recent releases from Nicole Moudaber, Saeed Younan and Stephan Hinz this new release is from Elio Riso and NiLO.R. 

Elio Riso is an Argentinian based artist whos talents inside the DJ booth have seen him conquer dancefloors across the whole of Latin America. Elio Riso was a core part of the Carl Cox & Friends night in Space Ibiza, and has played many of the islands top parties including Marco Carolas much famed Music On party in Amnesia. Along with a compilation mixed for labels like Defected, Elio Riso is also an established producer who boasts releases on labels including John Digweed's Bedrock, Mark Knight's Toolroom, Cr2, plus a previous outing on Intec. Collaborating with Elio Riso is fellow Argentinian and regular production partner NiLO.R, who along with solo releases on labels like Nervous Records, has previously joined Elio Riso for releases on imprints such as Deeperfect, Stereo Productions, MKT Records, Push Push Music and Smiley Fingers, plus many others of a similar calibre. 

True's has a dark feel with rigid percussion and a free flowing lead synth that gyrates with accelerated force. Deep and eerie pads provide a murky background atmosphere, whilst flutters of melody burst forth from the high frequencies. Dancefloor focused and set for destruction, the track moves with the tidal force of a tsunami! 

Beat Inside (Dub) has a rolling tribal groove fuelled by snare rolls and conga hits. The twisted vocal sample and claxon style bass stabs are enthralling and perfect for the club. Whether it's classed as Tough Tech House or Tribal Techno, this track is a must have weapon that every DJ should pack as part of their arsenal. Beat Inside (Vocal) provides a Big Room Techno version with the addition of vocal making it Infectiously catchy with all of the Dub versions dancefloor appeal, this hands in the air alternate version will no doubt become something of an anthem.

Acclaimed breakthrough DJ/Producer PAWSA makes his Avotre debut with the huge, club-ready two track EP 'False Start' - Set to have a huge impact on dancefloors across the clubbing spectrum. 

Title track 'False Start' opens with a deep, gritty bassline and up front vocal loop that quickly sets the pace of the track and overall release, before a series of masterfully placed beat interchanges further bolster the track's big room capabilities. Further intricate synths and several huge drops go on to provide further club ammunition and lay testament to PAWSA's continued development as one of the scene's hottest new artists. 

Rounding off the release is seismic B-Side 'Wet Paint'. Brining a soulful element to the powerful drum interludes, PAWSA takes the whole release in far more jackin' direction with this track. Effortlessly layering cleverly looped vocal stabs over the weighty bassline, PAWSA adapts his unique production aesthetic to the Avotre sound and makes a very welcome addition to the label's now seminal repertoire of artists.
