Acclaimed Irish short-story writer Roisín O'Donnell reads from her story 'Ebenezer's Memories,' from her debut collection WILD QUIET published by New Island Books on May 16th 2016. Roisín's stories have been published internationally and feature in the anthologies Young Irelanders and The Long Gaze Back. Ebenezer's Memories By Roisin O'Donnell

Roisín O’Donnell grew up in Sheffield, with family roots in Derry. Writing for as long as she can remember, her stories and poems have been published internationally and appear in the anthologies Young Irelanders and The Long Gaze Back. Roisín holds a BA in English Studies from Trinity College Dublin and a teaching certificate from the University of Ulster. She has spent much of the last decade writing, travelling and teaching children and adults from around the world. Nominated for a Pushcart Prize and the Forward Prize, she has been shortlisted for several international writing awards, including the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award 2016. In 2014, she was Highly Commended in the Bath Short Story Award and received an Honorary Mention in the Fish Flash Fiction Prize. The current recipient of a prestigious Literature Bursary from the Arts Council of Ireland, she now lives in Dublin.
