Drayus (aka Drew Simmonds) was born into the electronic boom of the mid 00’s. His father introduced him to the Chemical Brothers at age 10, this was followed by an obsession with a lesser known Deadmau5 track called ‘A City In Florida’ that he discovered on a video game, this track blew his mind with it’s relentless energy. These musical discoveries created a burning ambition in Drew to explore and create electronic music which led him to Techno. A huge turning point towards his love of Techno was hearing the productions of Umek, Tiger Stripes and Enrico Sangiuliano. From this moment on Drew became a studio geek developing a passion for outboard synths and hardware with a strong desire to master his craft.
