Cool "hat act" song ... love that period of country music.

A toe tapping country song mentioning many towns in Texas!  I wrote the song and had it recorded by a Nashville studio.

When I get feeling low, this is where I feel at home
Just me and my poison and those back road break up songs
It happens every time.  She’s always preying on my mind.
No matter where I go her memory follows close behind.
And, all I want it seems is a choir of broken dreams, 
one more shot of gasoline and to join them as they sing

What's On Your Mind

2nd version of this song about the tragedy of war.  
A Confederate  Rose is actually a species of Hollyhock, named from it's habit of turning from white to red as it faded.  Legend says it was used in the absence of field dressings to staunch the blood during the American civil war.
