Mix 17 is named "Fear Of Myself" and has been entitled and compiled by Terror Cognitive Dissonance (Jesús Martos). It is an obscure odyssey into an introspective state of mind. Spiked with endless details lurking between the sonic layers, the mix remains thrilling and ready to surprise the listener. This never-ending tension will transform you into a spineless eavesdropper with an evolving conscious alternation.

In 2017, Martos released his debut album "Чорнобильська аналоговий" (Chernobyl Analog).

Distortion is the alteration of the original shape (or other characteristic) of something. In communications and electronics it means the alteration of the waveform of an information-bearing signal, such as an audio signal representing sound or a video signal representing images, in an electronic device or communication channel. Distortion is usually unwanted, and so engineers strive to eliminate or minimize it. In some situations, however, distortion may be desirable. For example, in FM broadcasting and noise reduction systems like the Dolby system, an audio signal is deliberately distorted in ways that emphasize aspects of the signal that are subject to electrical noise, then it is symmetrically "undistorted" after passing through a noisy communication channel, reducing the noise in the signal. Distortion is also used as a musical effect, particularly with electric guitars.

The addition of noise or other outside signals (hum, interference) is not considered distortion, though the effects of quantization distortion are sometimes included in noise. A quality measure that explicitly reflects both the noise and the distortion is the signal-to-noise-and-distortion (SINAD) ratio.

On this transmission of the show we have not one but two sets from Somatic Responses who've taken over the helm to celebrate the launch of their latest release on our very on RIOT Radio Records. 

Assault is a 2 x 12” vinyl album in full printed sleeve that has eight original tracks that will severely pound your senses with its full on sonic ‘Assault.’ A true journey from start to finish, the music will take you far from this world into time and space itself and leave you wandering some combat strewn war zone on another plain of astral existence.

The full digital release also features two additional original tracks and two remixes by Tomohiko Sagae, all of which add to the complex textures of the intricate story this release weaves.
