-  Keane Douglas Wren is the sole songwriter, programmer, instrumentalist, and producer for Dharma Street Groove, Last Ceremony, WrenZ, and his self-titled work, all studio projects of his different artistic reflections. These titles have all been released under the New Temple Productions label he created. Wren is a musician from the Des Moines, Iowa music scene, writing in bands that ranged from performance art, gothic, alternative, and acoustic folk. and even an African-based drum ensemble that played in taverns. 
Music moved to a hobby in his late twenties but came back into focus after he retired from the Army at the age of 48, having joined in his early thirties. Since then he has shown a renewed commitment that has led to greater inspiration and musical output with a  wide range of explorations in musical styles. Wren is also a creative writer, poet, and journalist, shoots photography, creates artwork, as well as graphic design (which includes doing all his track art), and loves cooking.  He created and owned Des Moines, Iowa's first Vegetarian Cafe/Organic Coffee shop and its second real coffee shop of any type in 1993/94 under the name Whole Planet Cafe, Before that in 1987 at age 22, he was a partner and masterminded Des Moines’ first New Age Book Store/Isolation/Float Tank Center called Visions located in West Des Moines, Iowa. In 2003 Wren was nominated Poet of the Year by Poetry.com, the largest online amateur poetry contest at that time. He was a key instrumental force in creating the underground scene in Des Moines in the mid-80s to mid-90s, by setting up alternative nights with club owners, distributing flyers, and setting up live shows. This is the same town and scene that Slipknot later heralded from. In 93 and 94 he was a partner in the Des Moines Rave scene that was shut down by their Police vice squad, which caught national attention when Jay Leno joked, "Don't get caught dancing in Des Moines after 2 AM," due to a law created by these events. In 2009 the law was reversed. Keane D. Wren put out over 150 songs in 2020 while shutting in during the Pandemic. Wren is an honorably retired disabled Army veteran who served actively from 1998 to 2011 during the War on Terror.
