Nyameh the god of the sky, lived in a grand palace up so high, he kept the world's stories locked inside, 'til Anansi the Spider dropped by.

Anansi was cunning and clever, and undertook an extraordinary endeavour, where he battled fearsome hornets and inclement weather, all while ascending his spider silk ladder.

Nyameh agreed to share all his tales, if Anansi could complete untenable tasks without fail, and when Nyameh gave exacting details, Anansi knew he would prevail.

First Anansi used his guile and wit,
To capture a python with a trick,
He made the snake measure itself like a stick,
And then tied up the python oh so quick.

Anansi then moved to the next beast,
And enticed a tortoise to come to a feast,
The tortoise went to a place in the east,
Where it was captured and later released.

Anansi then tackled a hornet horde,
Using his mind instead of a sword,
He convinced the hornets to enter a gourd,
And then sealed it with a spider silk cord.

Then the sky god admitted his defeat, and he gathered all of his stories, he then gifted them to humanity, to know for all eternity.
