Autosuggestion make their long-awaited return with the alluring new track Senseless. Whilst previous single’s ‘Deadpan’ and ‘A New Slow’ promised so much, a combination of lockdowns and all four members spread across Europe and the UK for a time enforced a delay in recorded output. With the band now cementing themselves geographically and artistically they are poised and ready to confront 2024. With the hunger and urgency of their formidable live shows and their melodic sensibilities laid bare, Autosuggestion establish their place in the ranks of the contemporary post-punk milieux with Senseless. 

Like the creative array of Autosuggestion themselves, Senseless is a formation of each member's artistry locking into a fervent, impassioned blast of agile guitar work; steadfast, yet measured, drumming; and emotionally rich lyrical delivery. Rowan’s bassline weaves an infectious pattern that draws you in, while Will’s drums ground the track with tight, incessant precision. As the rhythm section drives Senseless forward Scott’s guitar allures with melodic jangles of innocence and hope, providing the perfect platform upon which Jacob’s calculated lyricism and introspection is laid bare. With a delivery verging on crooning, Jacob’s adept writing prowess and vocal talent solidifies Autosuggestion musically and aesthetically as a truly unique voice in the contemporary wave of post-punk.

On the new single, frontman Jacob offers:”Senseless is about feeling numb and unchanged. I wrote the lyrics at a time of bad health and I felt like I was watching my life pass by and I hadn’t moved or developed myself. Senseless just felt like the right word.”
