Selecta presents in our first guest mix of the series: James Maxwell aka ONISM who is a DJ, Producer and Promoter hailing from Kettering. Having first heard Drum & Bass in his teenage years, with the likes of Pendulum, Shy FX, High Contrast and others grabbing his attention - ONISM was quickly hooked on the energetic sounds of the scene he would soon submerse himself in. 

After hitting the dancefloor to see his favourite DJs playing out across the UK and Europe, ONISM was inspired to build his own collection and hit the decks himself...

Drawing inspiration from every corner of the scene, from jungle to jump up, neurofunk to liquid funk, ONISM looks to deliver the full spectrum of D&B to his sets, as well as Truth Hertz club night that he launched in 2019.

SELECTA PRESENTS: ONISM - [Mix 1]

Neil Badboy is a Drum & Bass DJ/ Producer from Corby, Northamptonshire and part of a crew called Total carnage. He built his reputation in 2003 by winning some of the biggest DnB DJ competitions around including Raveology, Random Concept, Ministry of Sound: DnB Arena Comp and Innovation In The Dam.


After starting to learn production, it wasn’t long before Neil had his first release in 2011 and plenty of other labels picked up on his talents too, leading to him having releases out on Lethal Impact Recordings, Physmatics Music, Bassline Syndicate Records, Mechanical Advantage, Good4Nothing Records, Sub Heavy Audio, Audio entropy, and grand theft audio.

Luke Courtney is one of the newest DJs to come out of Kettering with a huge love for drum bass.
Whilst being signed to a Birmingham based record/events label he is also getting in and amongst hitting up some commercial nights locally.

Callum stevens AKA Kriticalz is a up and coming DnB DJ and one of our residents for SELECTA. He is also a big part of the massive Cre8dnb record label run by DJ Blackley. 

Over the last 2 years Kriticalz has played at some big events from locally to big named one’s: random concept, rebirth, audio unity and liquid events. He wants to be up there with the big guns one day showing you what he can do behind the turntables.
