In this Table Settings Edition of Finding Alignment, DJ A-Ski is my guest star. The Los Angeles native is not only a dope DJ but a prolific producer. (In fact, his solo sophomore effort will be dropping soon. Stay tuned for that)! Years ago, when I was on my 'walkabout' and hanging around LA, he'd let me rock the opening set at his gigs. He's trusted me to create his logos, create flyers, and generally help build his brand. Eventually, he and Tailwind Turner would ask me to join their sets around DTLA. Rockin' parties since childhood, A-Ski's knowledge is so profound, I call him the "Professor". Not only is he an all-around great guy, but he's also my favorite DJ from the Left Coast! My homie Darius is the star of the conversation in this Table Settings Edition of Finding Alignment. This self-described content creator is a Los Angeles based DJ and producer. I met him through my homie DJ A Ski around 2011, and we got cool. Since this was during my travel years, I didn't have my own setup. So one of my favorite things to do was to go to Darius' loft in DTLA and spin for whoever happened to be hangin' out that night. Primer on this guy, he doesn't curse, he keeps a glass of fine wine, and he's an all-around good dude. Check him out.

Finding Alignment #7: "Molested...around 5 years old." -Da'shon Is.

So this is a heavy episode of Finding Alignment. With all the news about these pedophiles being exposed over the past few years, I've been forced to think about my molestation. I was inspired by a comedian telling his story on a podcast. Then I heard Common on Sway in the Morning talking about his book and his molestation story. I was reminded that this is the reason I began building  Finding Alignment. I want to provide a space for people to speak on what makes them happy today, and what they had to go through to figure that out. Despite hardships, I'm living a pretty cool life. But I've paid dues. Got receipts. And no one should go through what I have. -If you or someone you know has/is going through it, GET HELP NOW! Use your instincts, find someone you can trust, get it off your chest. You deserve better!
