Mr V - Hypnotic Style Pt 2 Ft. J Starr

It's been a crazy couple months, a lot of life events happening. I practically neglected my mixing and posting on here, and mainly just focusing on what these next couple months are going to bring. It's incredibly stressful, but I can't say I've been this ecstatic in a while so it's all worth it. Anyways, thought I'd stray from the norm and focus on something a bit different with a tribute instead. Chris Brann is one of my favorite producers (not biased just because he's an ATLien" but because his tracks have always been so polished and well produced. I finally bought "No Room for Form" after some time and goddamn it's an incredible album. I bought "Smuthullet" last year and that was one of my favorite records in general for quite some time. A few songs from No Room are incorporated in here along with other very deep underground gems from his other aliases such as Ananda Project, Wamdue Project and Wam Kidz to name a couple. Very lush sounds and hints of jazz elements really proves how great house can really be when the right person is behind it. I figured this one is best enjoyed with a glass of wine during a study sesh, pregaming on the grill, or that succulent mid night drive when you just want to get out of the house to make it to Taco Bell before they shut down for the day. I really hope this mix finds the right person that will appreciate it, and enjoy it just as much as I have. I have a feeling I might start doing more tributes for certain artists and labels mainly because in my opinion they played a huge part in where the game is today. Other than that, as always, enjoy.
