The fourth episode of the microcastle podcast welcomes label artist Luca Bacchetti.  His diverse musical tastes have shaped his storied career, and filled his discography with immaculate creations on All Day I Dream, Crosstown Rebels, Ovum Recordings, Culprit  and his own Endless imprint. Luca carries inspiration from art, architecture and his world travels, all of which contribute to his ever evolving, border-less approach to production.  Luca's recent remix of Khen's 'Pollen Spreader' was part of our 41st release and was a huge success, climbing all the way to #2 in the Beatport Electronica tracks chart, where it still sits today, at the time of this writing. The production saw play and support from Dixon, Lee Burridge, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo,  Frankey &amp; Sandrino and many more. For the fourth edition of our podcast Luca has prepared an exclusive studio mix which showcases his impeccable taste and exquisite  programming skills . Featuring new music from Andre Lodemann, Denis Horvat, Roman Flugel and more, as well as two yet to be released tracks from Luca himself. There's a wonderful story being told over its two hour journey, and certainly a mix to explore and lose yourself in many times over. Enjoy!

Another great artist joined to our series. Joachim Spieth - DJ, producer and AFFIN owner - celebrates 10th anniversary of his label. On this occasion, he prepared for us a special podcast. What is more, our interview with this artist will be published on muno.pl next Monday [polish only].

BIO:

When writing a biography, there are certain things you can’t avoid, even though you know it has been said many times and you fear it will end up looking like any other biography, with the usual and righteous amount of name droppings. For instance, in order to write Joachim Spieth’s bio, I couldn’t avoid saying that he has released a numerous amount of records, on labels as renowned as Michael Mayer’s Kompakt. And that some of those releases, such as « Under pressure » have been and are still hits.
And I couldn’t possibly forget the label Affin he has successfully been running for about a decade, with dozens of releases added to its catalogue.I also had to mention that he has been involved in the electronic music scene for the past fifteen years; that he used to play in a band as a teenager.  I had to name some of the countries he played for: Australia, Denmark, France, Georgia, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, UK…
But that being said, what really matters at the end is who he is and what he wants to express by producing music. What he has been giving to the scene. Being a shy character, he is not the type of person searching for the spotlight but someone that is evolving on the scene by pure passion and wants to communicate this passion to the others. He created his label Affin to be as independent as possible and focus on his own vision, surrounded by artists sharing it with him.
What he does not put into words is translated into sounds. Deep, solemn and at times enraged, his productions represents Techno in its purest expression. They are made to occupy our dying cathedrals of concrete, to crush the reality of our everyday life under an assumed individuality. The elaborated basses and the echoing melodies grab our minds to throw them in a far away world, leaving the silence of a doomed society behind.

‘Days Gone’ is the highly-anticipated return of core Afterlife act and fans favourite, Mind Against. A year after their ‘Solaris’ EP (AL002), the duo of Alex and Federico Fognini show once again why their moving, supremely-produced tracks are held in such esteem.

The title track takes you to another dimension, with a synth line spiralling into cosmic space and drums beating into oblivion. ‘Cloud Nine’, a classy, comparatively-understated cut for the early hours brings the energy back down. Stepping up to remix ‘Cloud Nine’ is Dystopian talent Alex.Do, who strips the sound back and distills the original’s graceful flourishes, completing a high-quality chapter in the Afterlife story.

... Slowly he regained consciousness. The constant buzzing sound in his head transformed into a jumble of unbearably loud beeping of various warning signals. He blinked briefly then sat up immediately. He was sitting in the cockpit of his small spaceship. Almost all the warning lights around him were flashing.
Concentration.
He shook his head then pressed a few of the countless buttons around him. Gradually the alarm signals stopped and it became quiet. Dead quiet.
Breathe.
The coordinate computer of his ship only showed confuse numbers. 
He didn’t know where he was. So he looked out into the darkness, started the engine of his spaceship and flew off, unaware of where his path would take him ...
