I've been playing around in my new studio for the past year just having fun.  I put together this instrumental track with my old mate Andy Jacques on bass and thought to myself it would be nice to have some vocals on it.  I asked my daughter Eli-Rose and this is the outcome.  I knew that I had to put this out there as she is so amazing!

State Of Mind

A few people were asking to hear an instrumental track so here is Camera Daze. Once again, pieced together with my old mate Andy Jacques on Bass but this time with another good friend Ivan Izi on drums from Remote Drum Session . Interestingly, Andy and I did the track then sent it to Ivan who put the drum track down and sent it back to me to mix.  Hope you like it!

Camera Daze

This is a song I wrote back in the early 80’s. I’ve never been a much of a song writer, I’d much rather grab my guitar and play, but I was going though all my old demo tapes recently and thought this song is worth re recording... so I did. It's got Andy Jacques on Bass and Ivan Hoe on drums.

Heaven Is Waiting

This track started out as a jam at the end of a recording session. Andy and I just started grooving to this drum beat and there it was, the embryo that grew into the track. I Played it to my old friend and band mate Phil Shaw who agreed to put some lyrics and vocals to it. We then realised we had three fifths of our old band Swimming to France involved so we took it a step further and got Greg Mason also involved too, then there were four old Swimmers. Finally jim Russel agreed to do the drums. Swimming to France was reborn! It's been 30 odd years but felt like yesterday.

Hi world, for those that don't know I am probably best known for my work with The Joe Jackson Band. I then went on to work with Such greats as Joan Armatrading, Aztec Camera  and  Kirsty MacColl. I now spend most of my time tinkering away in my studio. I've been learning how to produce my own, mostly instrumental, tracks. (Not very good at the moment but getting better!)
