Ofill Allen, a British rapper and songwriter hailing from Harringay, North London, is recognized for his genre-blending style, incorporating elements of hip-hop, grime, rap, and R&B. His music is a reflection of his personal journey, touching on social issues and cultural themes that resonate with a wide audience.

Early Life and Career

Ofill began writing lyrics at just 14, growing up in the challenging environment of North London. His experiences—moving through care and foster homes, and navigating the streets—shaped both his worldview and his music. These experiences led him down a difficult path, and at 19, he was incarcerated on a murder charge, serving 17 years in prison. During his time behind bars, Ofill focused on honing his craft, building a catalogue of music that captured his life and struggles.

Upon his release, Ofill quickly garnered media attention. He began making podcast appearances, with his story and music reaching wider audiences through platforms like LadBible, Delinquent Nation, and Channel 4 documentaries.

Rising Fame

Ofill’s first notable appearance was on the Delinquent Nation podcast in 2021. By April 2022, he was invited to feature in LadBible’s “90 Minutes With,” which went viral. This sparked more media opportunities, including a role in the Channel 4 documentary series “Teens and Cones” and another Channel 4 project, “Bang Up,” which gained further recognition in 2023. His media presence continued to grow, with podcast appearances and documentary features marking his rise to fame.

Music and Projects

Ofill’s music reflects his life’s journey and passion for storytelling. His distinctive voice and unique sound set him apart in the UK music scene. In September 2024, he debuted his latest single, “Simple,” at Tottenham Hall for the Mayor of Tottenham. This was followed by a performance at the United Nations and upcoming shows at Garage Nation, solidifying his presence in the music world.

Beyond his music career, Ofill has been active in community work, collaborating with young people through Safety Box, helping them develop essential life skills and pursue their goals. He is also currently studying Commercial Music at LCCM London.
