as a kid we used to plan our whole future
get a apartment and lived together making that big money
we laughed it off cause it was funnny, but deep down its what we wanted, to live in a comfy space, with enough in our pockets
so we wouldnt be begging on the streets, enough in the fridge
so we got something to eat, one of us wouldnt be on the block
serving god knows what, some crack, maybe a brick, maybe a 8th
those kids never recover, when one of them got addicted to early
a drug addict is the worse with some money
give them a amount, i promise theyll spend it like that
i promise theyll only be happy, with a puff and a hit
until they get hit with reality, bustin their ass for a minum wage salary
40 in the bank, to them thats enough for a G, im disappointment
we fell off, cause yall wasnt makin the cut
i grew up, had to be the man, and start working myself
found a career, got paid now im living with a dream everyday
yall stuck on the past, and live thinkin the future aint here
thats why they say im ahead of my time, thats why i keep myself
from the fakes, shooting shots like the lakers, tally off most niggas
like hits, that negativty energy, may have got to me
but i keep my head straight, and stay on path
the stones were set in place, it was my job to take the first step
pals looking around, city lights were beautiful as kids
now there distratcing my view, driving around looked fun
now the gas bill is getting too much, ur heads bigger then before
let me guess ur ego is taking its toll, lookin like ur the best
but we all know, ur the most insercuse
people asked how i got through with my shi, how i still manage to be the best in my shi, stay quiet and keep to myself
its honestly thanks to me realizing the real lies
that were stuck in the sky when were blowing the clouds
from one wood to being alone, guess thats what happens when u stay at the bottom, love by many, hated by others
same ones who were once, my brothers, are turnin to haters
seeing me leave the old shi in the past, seeing me step up and be the man, causing alot of distractions, they hatin cause they aint do it like me, trynna keep me where i started, as if i wasnt already getting ahead start, in life u gotta cut those, who never wanted the best

cause no body wants to stay in shi place
