Been meaning to _cross_ this one off my list *snorts*. Also some context, this is a remix of a song I kinda fell in love with a few weeks ago, named "Villa Volta". It's random as hell & like, also a tune from the 90's but I really wanted to remix it. Coincidentally, I also binged the entire Xtale comic and Underverse series in one night, and now had a reason to write something epic, and what better than to write something for Underverse (･ω<)☆

This is 35 hours of work, making it the most time I've ever spent on a single remix, in my entire life of writing music. Villa Volta has a very intriguing and beautiful melody, and combined with my struggle of working with orchestral elements (to which I seem to use quite rarely, I do love me some bass, probably a bit too much), this made for one difficult remix.

And a side note about the series, Nyx & Stereo did a lovely job composing the ost. That was one of things I was definitely interested in with watching Underverse, as I knew the soundtrack was original, and nothing intrigues me more than original osts, whether they be fan games or animated series. There are a lot of details and unique atmospheric sound design work that I was pleasantly surprised with, and I look forward to seeing what I can do with these melodies. I have my eye on a few in particular, and I think we'll be seeing some underverse stuff on the channel here very soon.

Also wanted to note, not really important to the vid at all, but when Ink travels through those paint puddles my splatoon radar goes absolutely bonkers. Is he a kid? Is he a squid? What is he _really_ hiding? There are questions that need answers ( • ̀ω•́  )✧

[Underverse Remix] SharaX - Vive La Verse

Hullo! I don't normally work with glitch effects because they tend to be difficult to get to work right in a rhythmic sense (without them being jarring af), so this was a bit of a more challenging track to write (ง •̀ω•́)ง✧ I haven't delved too much into other producers tracks for Error (both remixes or originals), so I went into this practically blind (moreso because it's also an original) but had a vague idea of what I wanted to write given what I know about him.

A strange trend I seem to be enjoying recently is writing tracks for "evil" characters that don't sound necessarily "evil"; I.e., my idea for this track and main goal was to write something fun, so the first thought that came to mind was opting for a swing styled beat. Granted I could have went with something more intimidating like DnB, but it would have been much harder to get that "fun" sound with a harder DnB rhythm and I most likely would've struggled with that uphill battle.

My next task was planning a melody that would stay true to the fun sound I wanted. The most important thing I needed to keep in mind is that I didn't want this to sound too much like Ravenous, which is styled in a similar way (very little reverb on any instrument, if any at all & with a general "fun" composition), but knowing Ravenous is styled to be both fun & disconcerting given it's Horrortale, all I had to do is avoid any atmospheric sounds, rhythms or melodies that could be interpreted as creepy. [Errortale Original] SharaX - Electrostatic

Hoi! Wanted to write something fun and decided to do something inspired from Nightmare (･ω･ )☆ I've been having a good time writing original music & Electrostatic honestly did a lot better than I had expected on the channel (to my pleasant surprise), so I thought "Hmm wouldn't it be fun if I wrote more original music inspired from other characters?" I didn't see too much on the music side of YT for Nightmare and this character had intrigued me quite a bit for years, so now was a good time to give it a shot.

My initial plan for this was to go industrial & abstract, but that quickly changed into some weird hybrid DnB. I also hadn't planned to incorporate so many melodic elements such as the chord progression drop at 1:17, but I fell in love with it and just had to keep it. I adored the contrast and it was a delicate little melodic accident I was really happy to happen upon. I'd say for sure it's my favorite part of the track, and that's coming from someone who loves her bass drops a bit too much sometimes (ง •̀ω•́)ง✧

Anywho, if you have any suggestions for AU characters I should write something for/check out, feel free to let me know! I've always enjoyed writing original music and I'm feeling up for challenges ( ﾟ▽ﾟ)/
