Shine so bright:
a golden halo of fireflies. in a way it was much too close. i wish i could have told you then (how i feel). we sit together in darkness staring up at the sky and the stars shine so bright. i have these dreams where i know exactly what to say and you tell me you forgive me. it's going to be alright this time. if i could i would wall my ears so they hear nothing. i would have covered my eyes. if i could. and your eyes they shine so bright. in your eyes i see the truth. in your words i hear the truth.

Portrait:
angel closes her eyes and i'm swept away. the spark of life has become a dying flicker of hope. she said she sang to me a warning of fallen times. but i would not hear. a crumbling image of a day gone by. a tear of blood coming from sealed wound. and the sound as it rang off of the porcelain was like church bells. an angel closes her eyes for what may be the last time and it's all been seen before. but the difference is that i'm scared. the difference is that i'm scared. it has been a trying summer for us all and it seems to be reflected in the tone.

"I Have Dreams was born from the ashes of New Ethic, when their guitar player Daniel died in a car accident. New Ethic played their last show in August, 1998 with Daniel’s best friend Mike Hanson in his place, and it was about a month or two later that I Have Dreams started playing."
