Love this. That rolling snare drum is loaded with anxiety. And yeah, the sax just rips, and I love this wacky guitar too.

Some of our art is made on computers, some of it is made by hand. We are particularly interested in that gray area in between where you cant really tell. All of what we create here is one work laid out in segments, all connected. The Mystic Tape Deck universe is vast and explores all manner of adding meaning to our lives, while pondering meaninglessness.

Smiley Turtle Records was created by Louie Simon and Mike Brosco in 1984 to serve as the label for the first Proof of Utah album "A Dog A Dodo And A Fool." Assisted by the creative forces of Steve Ward, Scott Sayre and Mark Rieke the team went on to release several indie albums and cassettes. Smiley Turtle artists included Proof of Utah, The Algy Krebbs Quartet, and Lonely Trailer.
