In today’s sky, the Virgo Moon opposes Mars and Neptune in Pisces, and squares Venus in Gemini.  Meanwhile Mercury forms a quincunx to Saturn, and the Sun continues its square to Mars.  The opposition from the Virgo moon to Mars and Neptune in Pisces signifies how we direct our intuitive and imaginative faculties to create our own reality, especially with regard to health and daily habits (Virgo).  Mercury, the ruler of both Virgo and Gemini, is making an odd angle to Saturn in Aquarius.  Saturn governs social structures and authority.  Aquarius rules friends, allies, and groups, while Cancer governs family ti es and ancestry.  To reconcile the quincunx, we can focus on the common thread between these two signs, friends and family, and look for ways to support those bonds.  The square between the Sun and Mars signifies a double dose of energy that is currently stymied by the square.  Sun in Gemini wants more information, while Mars feels a bit lost in the sea of confusion represented by Pisces. May 30 Astro-Sound Bite: Imagination Becomes Realization

The moon moves into Libra today, where it forms a grand trine with the Sun in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius.  At the same time, Mercury in Cancer, conjunct the Nodes in in late Gemini-Sagittarius form a T-Square to the moon in Libra and Chiron in Aries.  The trine  describes a quality of being rather than doing. In the air element, there seems to be a quality of the intellect that is informed by the moon’s desire to feel harmony and balance, the Sun’s conscious will and expression, and Saturn’s slow and steady progress. The T-Square from Mercury and the Nodes to the Libra moon and Chiron in Aries represent information involving our past roots, foundations, and conditioning that have reached a maximum threshold, and must now be reconstituted in order to heal.   When the nodes shift signs this represents a change in direction or destiny.  With the recent shift from Cancer-Capricorn to Gemini-Sagittarius, the old establishments have reached their expiration date and are no longer viable.  In Gemini-Sagittarius, we will be connecting the dots (Gemini) in order to see the big picture (Sagittarius). May 31 Astro-Sound Bite: Through the Eyes of a Child

Today’s Libra Moon trines the Sun and Venus in Gemini, while it forms a quincunx to Mars in the first half of the day, and a quincunx to Neptune later in the day.  The trine to Sun and Venus indicates artistic abilities and a feeling of congruency between the inner world of emotions and the conscious creative expression.  With dissonance between the moon and Mars we are highly influenced by our emotions, and may feel frustrated if unable to take some sort of action.  The highest form of action we can take today involves artistic or spiritual expression in whatever form speaks to us personally. The moon-Mars connection also indicates a potential for intolerance toward others, however as the moon connects with Neptune later, we feel greater sensitivity and compassion. There may be issues of self-deception or a feeling of “divine discontent” that provides the impetus for our growth and evolution. Today’s Scorpio moon reaches a degree that creates a perfect trine to Mars at 14 Pisces, and a quincunx to the Sun and Venus, both at 13 degrees Gemini.  At the same time, Mercury, at 7 Cancer, forms a grand trine with the Scorpio Moon and Mars in Pisces. Curious about the exact conjunction of the Sun and Venus at 13 degrees Gemini, I discovered that the Sabian Symbol means “Two people, at widely different points, are in conversation with each other by means of telepathy.”  Adding to that the fact that Mercury, the planet of communication, forms a grand trine occurring in psychically sensitive water signs, the idea of telepathic communication is certainly supported. We also have a square from Chiron at 8 Aries to Mercury at 7 Cancer. Today’s sky has the Scorpio moon forming a sextile to Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto, and an opposition to Sedna.  Jupiter and Saturn are interpersonal planets that affect our cultural and social structures. Pluto is a transpersonal planet that goes beyond these social structures to transform and transcend what is no longer serving the soul’s growth and evolution.  Things never look the same after a Pluto transit because its impact is so powerful.  It takes 248 years to complete one cycle through the zodiac, while Sedna takes 10-12,000 years to complete a cycle.  If one thinks that an orbit this long has no impact our lives, take another look at what’s happening in our world.  Sedna’s impact is on a global scale, and multiplies Pluto’s power by the thousands. Eclipses are game changers, and  their effects can last up to 6 months.  In the US Chart, Sedna sits at 15 Pisces, and squares the US Ascendant exactly.  So this full moon also squares Sedna in the US Chart, as Sedna is also activated by transiting Mars and Neptune in Pisces.  Sedna is the Great Protector of Nature and of all living beings.  When people have disregarded the sacredness of life, she withholds resources until confessions are heard and made known by the community. June 5 Astro-Sound Bite: Can't Fool Mother Nature

Today’s moon at 27 Sag conjuncts the South Node, and both form a quincunx to Sedna in Taurus.   At the same time, the Sun/Venus conjunction in Gemini squares off with Mars in Pisces, an ongoing theme until we enter Cancer season at the Summer Solstice. The quincunx from the SN/Moon to Sedna describes the friction we feel collectively with regard to the current drama happening in the world; the transition of our changing age, and the process of having to let go of previous foundations or a certain perception of the truth, is what Sedna’s energy is bringing forth.  The moon conjunct SN signifies a reluctance to let go of these foundations because they are familiar to us.  And with so much having changed in our world, we need familiarity around us. Today’s Astro-Sound Bite is inspired by Lynda Hill’s Sabian Symbol interpretations, which can be found at sabiansymbols.com/symbol-lookup/.  Since the moon moves one degree per hour, each day I use 12 pm EST to see how the moon connects with other planets. Today’s Capricorn Moon at 11 degrees says this: This degree shows the ability to observe things that other people would miss. You can be an example to others for understanding the wonders of nature, weaving together issues form a story, to “Lecture”, to inform others. Often, there’s a special talent around natural and alternative issues and it may be your job to show the way or to teach about nature or medicine or herbs, etc. Too much weight has been given to the artificial needs of society and it’s time to redress the balance. Practical applications of knowledge can help people better understand. Revealing the truth can lead to wonder and awe, but also disbelief, it depends on how it’s delivered. Observing and translating so others may enjoy. Green politics. Natural remedies. Science and its rewards and drawbacks. Whistle blowers. Conspiracy theories.  The degree of Sun at 17 Gemini, which I’ve paraphrased is about transcending feelings of alienation with others because you have a different mindset, and finding people of like-mind with whom to connect and communicate.
