Studio Jazz (Grand S)

Few days ago I got this melody in my head and thought about the keytar.

In the early 80's I got my first keytar, Moog Liberation..
but not until I got the Yamaha KX5 I started to explore deeper and approach it more like a guitar than playing it as an ordinary keyboard.
I also made my own samples from different guitars into my Emu sampler and played them thru various pedal effects and guitar amps.

Thru out the 90's, though I was playing much jazz, I was actually listening to more rock guitar players than any other instruments, but somehow I did not play my keytar as much as I wanted to.

About 3 years ago I started to play the keytar again after not playing it for sometime.
Still using the same approach as I did before, only now I use my laptop as my sampler player and Roland AX Synth (I named her "Magnolia") as my controller.

So here it is.
A quick sketch I made as a tribute to Hendrix, Holdsworth, Van Halen, Satriani, Vai, Eric Johnson and many other guitar players who gave me so much influence and made me want to become a guitar player on the keys :)

A little back story about this song:

The last year took a toll on me; so much happened and it weighed me down. As many of you could tell, I wasn't enjoying music the way I used to. Rather than it being a release, it became a burden. A few months ago, I found myself in Washington Square Park here in New York watching a jazz band play. I remember watching the players as they spoke through their instruments, then it hit me; I was supposed to let the heart dictate and the mind translate, never the other way round. I had to choose to let go of all that was weighing me down of let it affect me negatively for a while.

What i present to you today is the final track.

This is The Sound of Letting Go.
