Next up we introduce Eastern Bloc Padawan 'Silas The Don' With a keen ear for anything sub-flavoured Silas manages to cover a wide sonic territory over the space of 2.5 hours. Touching on Dub, both roots and Digi, Garage, Dubstep Jungle and Half time this mix had us locked from the off. Hopefully you can allocate time to digest it in one whole sitting which we wholeheartedly suggest you do.

Kerrie started a label called Dark Machine Funk, a name which hints toward the kind of music she plays. And while the Irish artist might be a capital-T techno DJ, her idea of "dark" is a little different than the black-clad legions of her generation. You won't find whiplash-inducing BPMs or racy pop edits in her sets. Her idea of techno is more classicist, without veering towards the stuffy or the retro. Her DJIng and her productions bridge the divide between Euro and  American styles. Hints of breakbeat or other broken patterns bring in ideas from the UK techno that she loves so much, such as the pivotal label Blueprint, where she's become a regular  as of late.

With her, the devil's in the details (listen to those deliciously twisted hi-hats in recent track "Transient Belief"), and that comes down to mixing records, too. Her RA Podcast is a fast but measured run-through of 90 minutes of techno by artists like Exium and Tensal and from labels such as Token and Soma. Though none of her own tunes make the tracklist, this mix perfectly captures Kerrie's style. She's someone who appreciates that the real power and force of techno comes from its groove, not just the impact of the kick drum or pure speed.

Returning with the next studio mix we welcome 'Joe Gosling' Originating from the mean streets of Luton Joe was a late bloomer to the DJ game but had years of experience the other side of the turntables. With an affinity for all things broken Joe rains down pure energy with his debut mix where we get treated to all things electro, taking us from reduced 808 beats, squeezed through the grittiest distortion through to beautiful melodic arpeggio's and back again.

Notes on the mix:

"For this mix, I wanted to use some of the downtempo and ambient tunes that I love and usually don’t get to play out. Like most people, I use downtempo music to focus; for work, reading or relaxation, so I wanted to put something together that moves through different energies and textures and showcases some of the lighter music that I like. Did I also mix PLO Man into Madonna? Yes, yes I did 💅🏼"

Sourcing influences from 90s Tech, house, trance and breaks Aiden Francis' pure passion for underground electronic music radiates through his music and DJ sets. Effortlessly drifting between different sounds and aesthetics, Aiden has managed to break himself free from the constraints of genre so that his true creative prowess can be flexed in full. 

The lack of constraint overflows into Aiden's DJ sets, providing highly energetic experiences that flows through a unity of sounds, cultures and voices. This varied approach to DJing has found Aiden's name appear on high-quality events across the UK and Europe.

Luke's dedication and passion for the scene extends beyond the booth, supporting grassroots talent and providing DJing opportunities to emerging artists in the North which has led to the creation of Hyper Violet, an event series co-developed by Luke Daniels and Sam The Bastard, that focuses on showcasing local talent. 

Recently, his powerful sound has secured him a residency at FrixXxion, a cutting-edge queer techno party curated by Meat Free's Blasha & Allatt. We got to witness Luke’s finesse behind the decks when TC residents shared the booth with him - safe to say we couldn’t leave the dance floor!
