Over 2,000 Fire Island visitors and residents came to the recurring barefoot disco moments that brought back the tradition of casual dancing on the beach in the Pines. Inspired by Burning Man and the history of the Pines,  these moments, 5-HTP, brought a special, radically inclusive joy through music, and I'm beyond excited to share my favorite 5-HTP tracks of this summer with you in this high energy disco mix.

Enjoy this high-energy celebration of funk and soulful house that I got to play right next to my mom at the Mad Hatter's Tea Dance at Halloween New Orleans on October 30, 2022.

Halloween New Orleans is an all-volunteer organization near and dear to my heart, and getting a chance to celebrate life with them was an unforgettable experience. More about Halloween New Orleans:

The mission of Halloween New Orleans is to provide funding for Project Lazarus, a home in New Orleans for men and women with AIDS, so that they may provide healthcare and support services for their residents. Project Lazarus, which provides direct AIDS services, is the sole beneficiary of all funds which are raised.

In their 37-year history, they have raised almost $4.6M for Project Lazarus. Halloween New Orleans is one of the only 100% donation/volunteer event weekends left in the US.

I first got to know Mr. Sparkles a while back at a pregame before THE "it" disco party. His smile was so magnetic it made me nervous, and fortunately his sense of humor didn’t mind that my nervous self was completely incapable of using a seltzer siphon without getting fizzy water everywhere. But I knew he was a special one when he told me about how much he loved to move...

And after being dazzled all night by his acclaimed dancing in action, I we left the club for an evening—by then, late morning—of intimacy so spectacular that it's a felony we didn't film it. Leaving Mr. Sparkles' place the next morning, I felt a sense of joy so powerful, I abandoned my day's plans and made it into a very special DJ set. Enjoy ☺️
