Glorious Basstar Demo

Kevin, who plays the bass in la Marmaille and Acropolys bye bye sent a few presets for the Glorious Basstar on Zorg's Fb account. Here's how they sound. The Basstar is plugged directly in my soundcard. You may plug your soundcard in your amp to get the final result!

Kevin's Presets

William who plays the trumpet in Bdc LaBelle, Tanidual and Walter Sextant searched something to make his trumpet sound fatter. It seems the mission is accomplished. In this test he's using a Zorgtaver plugged into the Love Philter. A moogerfooger ring mod LFO is sent to the Love Philter's CV input to command the cut off frequency.

I'm playing with the Love Philter for Eurorack prototype. Using the low pass filter output. The cut off frequency is plugged to a random sampled and hold value.

Love Philter Eurorack - Prototype full test

This is a test of a tremolo prototype.
I was searching for a colorfull tremolo and ended up with a simple JFet design. It sounds like a vintage tremolo and adds a bit of grit to the signal.
Final version should include the following controls:
- Volume, rate, depth.
- Choice between square and sin tremolo.
- Grit switch to add/remove distortion (specially with high output pickups)

IMPORTANT: Lionel has been playing with extreme settings for each bands. Little is known about what knobs he moved. This soundclip represent how far you go into absurdity and stupidity with the pedal.

Tests of floor noise of the upcoming Blow! Blow!! Blow!!! preamp. 
This test show the difference between floor noise of the BBB's mic preamp versus my TC impact twin mic's preamp. 
Gains are set to the exact same value on both preamps (More 75% on the Impact Twin). Phantom alim is turned on for both preamps, recorded with a prodipe A6.
4 noise extracts are played here:
1- BBB normalized noise level (ton of gain added at post prod)
2- Impact twin normalized noise level (ton of gain added at post prod)
3- BBB real noise level (no gain added)
4- Impact twin real noise (no gain added)

Test Preamp Blow Blow Blow

You can easily turn an Ibanez L.A metal pedal in a FAT CAT pedal, which is about the same as the ProCo RAT.
This is a quick recording of the conversion of a LA metal to a FAT CAT. First two riffs are with the L.A metal, bridge then neck pick ups. Then with the FAT CAT mod with LED clipping, bridge then neck, then Diode clipping, bridge then neck.

This is a direct take. So the treble are a bit harsh. 3 extract were made with the 3 mids positions low => high => med.
Others settings were:
Gain=100%
Mix=40%
Treble=0% (Max treble)
Vol=90%
Bass is a hartley benton mm84
