These impersonations of 12 of the world's most famous personalities showcase the towering talent of David Legge.  I listen to other impersonators and wouldn't have a clue who they're impersonating.  You won't have difficult identifying these: Bogart, Cagney, Eastwood, Elvis, Gable, Hitchcock, Lorre, Marx, Mason, Nicholson, Prince Charles, Stewart, Wayne.
David this rolled through these, writing his own scrips on the fly.  Astounding!
I think I've invented a new word for impersonated personalities - 'Impersonalities'!

Another beautiful music track composed by Bruce Rowland.
These tracks exemplify by fundamental belief that the most import thing any ad can do is leave the viewer/listener with a positive feeling - ideally the the feeling that embodies the product's primary promise.
I'm also proud of my 'Brampton Is' concept.
The last of these four tracks, a monologue, seems more enjoyable and more credible than anything I've heard lately.

This music track features the superbly sensitive flute of (if I recall correctly)Dick Healy, improvising around the Dunhill theme.
The music was composed an conducted by Bruce Clarke - famous for his 'Jingle Workshop' in about 1970.  
Bruce was an astonishing talent.  He would sit in the control room beside me, writing the next arrangement (possible for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra!)while we producing (and actually record) a track.  (See the video of the 'Thames' cinema commercial on my YouTube channel.)
Bruce had the first Moog Synthesizer in Oz.  We had a lot of fun with that (there was no handbook)!

My theme 'All the best' was the perfect theme/slogan for a department store and I still really like the jingle, composed by Bruce Rowland.
We produced the tract in KL where my ad agency 'Us' had an office.
The translations were always difficult, especially for song lyrics (do they even rhyme any more)?  After each take I'd be asked 'How was that?'  How would you know!
This was the soundtrack of my original 'Corporate' TVC.

Parkson (Malaysia) Jingle in 3 languages

Bruce Rowland and I had a lot of fun creating this soundtrack to a TVC for Huttons.  Bruce's voice even made it into the final version.
At the time (probably about the mid 80s) Huttons' theme 'Don't Argue - Huttons Are Best' was as well known as any slogan so the 'music hall' style we adopted was appropriate (and some what 'ownable'.

One of my many entrepreneurial ventures was 'TuckerTime':
Strasburg, cheese, crackers, a drink and desert in a handy cardboad lunchbox.  Ideal as a meal replacement on the go.
There was a major packaging challenge as no-one in Australia had put Strasburg and cheese in the same pack.
We often had TuckerTime when we were running late to get to the theatre or an event.
We eventually sold the business to Famous Foods.

So Long

Western Star is one of many great Aussie brands I was privileged to work on.  Like our client Kraft, the brand was a champion of good, Aussie, family values.
I still like this western jingle - concept & lyrics by me, music composed by Bruce Rowland.
When we (TH&M)were appointed (in about 1980) to promote the brand, the (famous) Western Star logo was up the other way, precariously balanced on its sharp point.
With my art Director partner, Paulo Leonard, we presented this new, improved logo design to the board of Directors.
The first word spoken by the Chairman on seeing the logo was totally astonishing:  'Ku Klux Klan' he staid.  It took quite some time of him trying to explain that all he would see when he looked at the star (now standing firmly on two points, was the image of the Ku Klux Klan.  Fortunately, nobody else shared his weird vision!
