The recent Sundays have taught us that we can find rest in times of unrest (1) when we know that our battles ultimately belong to the Lord, (2) when we know that we can find true contentment in Him and (3) when we are actively taking part in a life-giving community such as the church.


In our passage today, we will look into a narrative that is perhaps so familiar, yet something so profound, which we can see this in Genesis 50:15-21. And we pray that in reading and contemplating on this, we’d somehow get to make sense of God – and what He’s doing – even when things don’t always make sense to us. 
 
Let’s journey together as we ponder on God’s Word!

On this Sunday, it is good to ask ourselves: Why do we do what we do? Where is our life headed? What’s our direction? What are our goals? If we have goals in mind, do our current habits help us achieve them?

Given the demands to navigate through many decisions day by day – especially in this “new normal” — there is a dire need to fervently seek God’s wisdom and to rely on Him. 

It is our hope today that we get to understand the critical need of walking in God’s wisdom, to learn biblical principles on it, and to help chart a path forward by establishing practical steps in making wise decisions.

Mike Duco is passionate about leadership development and the next generation, a pastor by heart, an itinerant speaker, a teacher, a worship leader, a learner, and a moody writer.

He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology at the University of the Philippines-Manila. He is currently a student at the International Graduate School of Leadership, completing a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership.

Reading, watching movies, driving around different places, listening to music while walking on early mornings, learning new things, teaching, goofing around with kids, and chatting with people over coffee are just a few items in the long list of things he delights doing.
