Many years ago, at one point I accidentally noticed the chorus of some of my songs were inter-changeable. From then onwards, I made serious efforts for my songs to sound not so alike. I know I am not a decent singer but as a songwriter, I would be very glad if listeners can differentiate between my songs.

This new entry here is another love song mainly inspired by a drama. The purple rose is the closest song pic I could find as I think the petals do look like lips. Just see what you think.

This was one of those songs that was inspired by something Hans wrote,  prompting an idea of the movement of water representing the melding of musical ideas.

Whilst we were working on “Release The Ashes”, he sent me a working arrangement in an email, signing off with the words "Love from The Elbe to The Thames”.  Friends and family often say things that spark song ideas and this poetic  greeting stuck in my mind.

I looked at a map that showed The Elbe flowing into The North Sea and The Thames into the Estuary a little to the south and imagined the two bodies of water flowing toward each other, intertwining back and forth, much as the song ideas between Hans, Gary and myself are inclined to do when we’re working on something.

So I have to thank Hans on two counts, both for bringing the idea to mind and also for the arrangement he created, which to me is very special.  Hope you do too.  Many thanks for listening.

Welcome to Gaz Brownie music projects.
Gaz Brownie music projects is a collection of collaborative work from more recent projects to the bands I have played in over the years.
Been singing since the age of 15 in bands and various music projects.
I play guitar on my solo stuff but really only as a vehicle to write songs and finds cords for vocal melodies, and also a little keyboards. 
To date I have recorded and wrote/ co wrote over 200 songs in a professional studio environment, working with established producers . Played endless live gigs with numerous bands and projects.
I have had music published, appeared on TV/radio, Music videos, released albums, Eps and singles, on several different labels. 
Style preference is a indie pop/rock vibe focusing on interesting lyrics, vocal melodies and catchy chorus lines.
