This recording is a completed work of Wild Christopher's work "Jolene (Ever Find Your Forever Man)" with my guitar playing. "Jolene" is based on "Let Me Know", one of the "Paploviante Open Collab" pieces.
I received warm compliments and words of welcome from both of them. I am very grateful.I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for including me in their wonderful work.

This work is over 6 minutes long. My guitar playing starts with a low volume and rhythm. About a third of the way through, my guitar starts playing to complement Christopher's great singing.

A few days after the release, he received a number of really excellent works. I was really surprised by the ability of the artists to finish such amazing works in such a short period of time.

After listening to the above works, I realized immediately. Simplifying the scales that form the melody, assuming the case of playing the guitar, it was divided into the case of  Cm/E pentatonic, and the case of  Cm/E and Em/G pentatonic. I thought, ``This is a great exercise for me. For example, putting four songs together on one track, listening to them all in order, and playing the guitar along with each scale is a very useful daily practice. I could imagine that this would be useful not only for myself, but also for most people who are learning to play the guitar.

For example, alternately play the following:
1)Cm/E　Pentatonic scale(Key = E)
2) Cm/E, Em/G Pentatonic scale(Chord = A7,E7)
2) '  Am/C,Cm/E,(Em/G) Pentatonic scale

It's easy to envision it that way, but first, what do I do with the first one? So I started playing guitar while listening to Wild Christopher's "Jolene".
I found it possible to use two chords, A and E7, and finish off with some rock'n'roll backing, but it's too simplistic a way to spice up Christopher's cool and passionate vocals. 

So I took the plunge and tried using the A7 and E7 chords to make a blues rock song. And I was convinced that depending on the way I played, I could proceed without discomfort. An image of the rough blues rock of the early 1970s came to mind. However, I was conscious of keeping the taste of the country blues that was popular before that.

I thought that Wild Christopher's wonderful singing voice would suit slightly rough guitar playing based on precise rhythm composition. A playing style that many great guitarists and predecessors have developed over the decades. I hope that people who come across this piece will want to listen to it again and again :))

Hey…. I missed you guys, your music, art, and conversations! Thanks to those who left me messages (Truly appreciated.) I took a long summer break that spilt into Autumn. It was great. Rode my old bicycle down along the river a couple times, and had to keep pedaling faster than the mosquitoes. I did some hiking in the mountains, old man style, carefully watching where I was going. I had fallen several times on previous outings, on slippery river rocks these past few years. So now I stick mostly to the trails, which I don’t really like to do, but realize that is where my age has put me. Most days I could be found piddling around the yard like a old monk, gardening and keeping the bird water clean, while laughing at and talking to the animals. After a while they get used to my eccentricities. Chickadees and Kinglets follow me around when I am watering. I think the watering stirs up insects that they feed on. Did some needed house painting. A couple decades ago, I had a second job painting apartments. I would leave my job at the high school, in proper dress attire and paint in those same clothes and never get a drop of paint on them. My wife at the time thought I was having an affair. Haha. She told friends… He says he’s painting but he never has any paint on his clothes. I tried to reassure her and even told her that was silly. Apparently she didn’t think so, so now I am alone. Ha. I also patched the roof and got a leak at the house seam that I had been trying to patch for years. I had a good visit with an old high school friend who I hadn’t seen in 50 years. Back when we were teenagers, he was taller than me. Now, when I first saw him, I saw I am at least a foot taller than him now. He was and is always an inspiration for me in life. After much grumbling about getting older, I am finally OK with being 67 years old. Sadly, I grieved for several people in my life who died. Tended the vegetable garden, harvesting all sorts of veggies, and stored some for the long winter. Collected all sorts of seeds. I even created some wild garden recipes, spending some well needed time in the kitchen. Later in the summer, I picked vine-ripened tomatoes for lunch, and grazed on apples and plums from the trees while working outside. I always leave plenty for the animals. After procrastinating, I repotted a bunch of large, root bound house plants. And I slept late while wildly dreaming… as some of you know, I appreciate dreams for their surreal content that often finds its way into my song lyrics. I also took some time to play electric slide guitar and sing outside on the porch, while working the kinks out of the slide sound and howling like an old hound dog. A neighbor asked: Was that you? (In a good way.) Some other neighbors were not so pleased. (Haha.) Anyway, this new home recording is a song I worked on recently. I have been working with my vocals to render out the course gravel tone and just sing. Gravel makes for great sounding Blues, but it really isn’t me. I have also been working on my rhythm guitar. (It needs it… haha) I am still learning so much about the music process. Thanks for bearing with me as I explore and test out these new ideas. Finally after recording over 30 songs we have narrowed it down to 11 of what we consider our best work to date.

We have already had publishing intrest  in the material from the point of moving the material on for other artists and sync work.￼
Acorns turn into oaks but is a long process. 
Since the album release we have gone onto to release singles and EPs on a regular basis.

Gaz Brown, a singer songwriter and the other half of Conscience Of Kings with producer and multi musician Noobly.  Also I’m  a writing partner for Under This Sun with producer and multi musician Sarge.

I fell back into writing during 2020 after a 20 year absence. I think the hiatus￼ must have done me a world of good as I haven’t stop writing since, with over 150 songs recorded in studio or demo form. It’s just great to be back doing it again and not having to rehearse in sweaty lock ups and constantly playing live. I have the comfort of my own small studio room and do everything remotely
Having previously only ever fronted bands, the most successful one being 90s psychedelic original underground indie band This Elegant Chaos. I finally bothered to learn guitar and keyboard in the past couple of years .I just wish I had bothered when I was 15 as I might be decent by now!
My songs on this page are just born out of being creative and probably don’t sound nothing like my influences unlike the band page on sound-cloud of This Elegant Chaos.

Influences include late 70s new wave, late 80s indie guitar bands and the 90s explosion of ￼￼the Brit pop era and anything else that’s decent, whatever the style. If it’s good it’s just good!

The demo songs have all been recorded on a Boss Mini BR80 that fits in the palm of my hand. 
It’s all my own work except the  collaborations that are listed under Conscience of Kings, Under This Sun, Jeff Roberts, The Gatsbys and Mike Fox. 
Always open to doing any collaborations with other Soundclouders, don’t be shy to ask. 

Conscience Of Kings is an ongoing project with Noobly that is available on all streaming platforms. 
The aim is to keep recording enough quality material to release in single, EP or album form all on all major streaming services.
