Stoned Waves: A Raw Mystical Sonic Revolution

After their debut EP and a series of well-received singles, Stoned Waves have become a powerful force. Based in the Northern Rivers of Australia, Juan Thill assembled a lineup of characters that includes Sofia Grimoldi (drums), Michael Bassborn (bass), Pontus Brock (guitar), Estefi Minniti (vocals, synths, percussion), and Juan Thill (guitar, vocals)who reshaped the band's sound, evolving beyond the garage rock that once defined them.

Their first single, "Planets Crash," and the second, "Fuzzy Cloud," blend gritty garage rock with expansive, experimental textures. It’s a bold exploration of new sonic territory, marking a departure from their past and a willingness to push creative boundaries.

A key turning point came when they teamed up with producer Shae Roberts (The Richmond Sluts, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, O & Shea). After nearly a year of recording at Rockbox Recording, the band and Shae crafted an album that fuses raw rock with a more refined, expansive sound. The result is a captivating collection that will draw listeners in and leave them wanting more.

With the second single on the way and their full album soon to be released, Stoned Waves' sonic journey is set to leap forward. A powerhouse of talent ready to deliver a dynamic, unpredictable live experience.

With gigs lined up for the new year, Stoned Waves are ready to introduce this new chapter. The revolution is coming — get ready to ride the wave.

Lamorna's Lullaby is the first recording for my new album 'Songs of Land and Sea', which will be available sometime in 2025.

Inspired by Lamorna Birch's (a member of the Newlyn Art Society) love of Lamorna Cove and his infatuation with Greta Valentine.

This is a simple song that finds the artist Lamorna Birch searching for inspiration in the eyes of his muse Greta Valentine and the beauty of his surroundings. Once he has completed his work he is totally at peace and the sea sings him to sleep.

New song recorded tonight. Things are what they are.. on the melancholy side.... which i'm prone to wallow in from time to time.

It has come to my attention that I haven't put my pen to paper for a while
I've been burning scented candles that suggested fields of roses for so long
and I've lately come to realize the simple reason for my lack of candor
and the soil of sordid life reveals the blameless grief left floating in the breeze
I opted out of bowing low for fear that I might make a wrenching scene

I thank god sometimes for time alone with cheap guitars and cheaper brands of wine
I avoid my past discrepancies and present time inequities like plague
