Spike Heels is a twisty groove all about friendship and life in the fast lane.

Classic Rock Magazine picked it for one of their Tracks of the Week, describing it as "scrappy, sassy, and more fun than an entire semester at clown college. Literally good."

Tiger Island are a garage rock band from Leeds and Wakefield. Matt and Penny wrote this song and a bunch of others and released it as an EP "What Have We Done", which is streaming everywhere now.

They've been described as "crunchy, punk-spirited garage rock n roll.... energy in spades and tunes to match" (Louder Than War). 

Their forthcoming EP "Looka Looka Looka" is due for release on 26.01.23. Lead single "Look Around You" was selected for BBC Introducing and second single "Bad Women" is due for release 17.01.23.

"Bad Women" is an anthemic slice of garage rock that challenges dominant social and media narratives around acceptable female behaviour. Which woman is a good woman? Which woman is a bad woman? And who do these questions really serve?

Singer/guitarist Penny says: "This song came from watching women I know, love and care about seeking to challenge the status quo – to stand up and fight for justice, for their bodies, their children and their lives – and seeing the world try to push them back down and label them without listening to them. It's an angry song, but it's hopeful too."
