Where has the time gone? Three decades, countless nights, an unwavering drive...

Music is more than just sound – it’s emotion, energy, a way of life. For Michel Heukrodt, this has always been true. Formerly known as DJ Pfiff, he has been deeply rooted in electronic music for over 30 years. He was there when techno took its first steps in Thuringia when dark basements and abandoned halls transformed into a thriving scene. And he actively helped shape it.

Since 1998, he has stood behind the decks as both DJ and producer. His sound? Deep, hypnotic, driving. Techno, dub techno, Detroit techno, deep house – music that is not just heard but felt. His sets are not just a sequence of tracks but carefully composed journeys that take the audience along for the ride. This was evident in his legendary nights as a resident at Bienstädter Warte or Gierstädt Kühlhallen, where he guided the dancing crowd through time and space.

But Michel is more than a DJ. He is a storyteller – also in his own productions. With five EPs and releases on labels like Piranha, Siberia Dub, and Kamarad Meyer Musik, he has firmly anchored his sound in the scene.

And because music connects, he founded the We Are One Podcast Series – a platform for exclusive DJ sets that not only showcases well-known names but also gives talented newcomers a stage. For Michel, it’s not about status but about what truly matters: the music.

Three decades, countless nights, an unwavering drive. Michel Heukrodt lives and loves electronic music – and you can feel it in every second of his art.
