He's a gifted guitarist with impeccable phrasing.  He is co-writer of this composition.
All guitar tracks were recorded with Scuffham Amps S-Gear and Softube's Marshall JMP 2203 plugins.  Addictive Drums 2, Modo Bass and Alchemy were used for the backing track.

The title is in reference to the sudden passing of Jeff Beck, which I felt was a damaged ending to a life that still had so much more to give musically.  He was playing as good as ever in the recent videos I've watched.  God bless his soul!

Damaged End

idle rumors big closer. Artisan Mobile Recording truck recorded this on location at Ruggies at Commercial Blvd and Hiway 1 in Fort lauderdale, florida. Any band I was ever in,I was like "if we don't play any Who I don't want to be in it" and lucky for me these guys from Chicago and NYC moved to south Florida and we became a working R&R band. Idle Rumors was Les Harmeyer frontman/ryth guitars/vocals,Tom Svanoe Bass/vocals, Fred Enoch drums,Pat Maguire Stratocaster thru Music Man 65 112/lead vocal. This cover of The Who's, My Generation/Tommy Overture and a whole bunch of feel good R&R written by us as a band, was from a cassette. A fan gave it to me. It is off of Artisans 24 track mobile studio. Someone slowed the pitch and really went hard left , hard right.  There are clams and tuning deficiencies here and there. There are some serious power trio moments as well. This live band wailing is really going on raw energy from the crowd who scream "F**k off" when i sing "Why don't 'ya'll "fade away".  I hope you like repetitve power chords HA HA HA

Look Away w/Martin Hirsch

I am a career musician.  My primary instrument is guitar.  Hired as session guitarist and artist, I have recorded for Sire, Arista, Capitol, Atlantic, Visions and Mentor record labels, lending my guitar talents to producers/artists Albhy Galuten, Dion Dimucci, Peter Solley, Steve Gursky, Steve Alaimo, Melanie Safka, Genya Ravan, Frank Cesarano, George Terry, Paul Harris, Charles Dye, David Wayne Hardy, Gary King, Joe Viglione, Frank Falestra and Helen Banks.  
Being no stranger to the stage, I have opened up in concert for JJ Cale, Jay Leno, The Band, The O'jays, Steven Stills, Judy Collins, NRBQ, John Sebastian, The Outlaws, Melissa Manchester, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Marshall Tucker Band, The Beach Boys, Robin Trower, Alvin Lee, The Outfield, Air Supply, Ursa Major, Cactus and Wild Cherry.  All concert performances were promoted by Jack Boyle's Cellar Door Concerts and the late John Stoll's Fantazma Productions, both operating out of sunny south Florida.   I have written over 200 songs and am currently on record with Dion Dimucci and Charlie McCoy (a sought-after Nashville session player).  Those recordings can be found on Pennybank Tunes' release "Road Movies Vol. 2."  I am also on record with the late Randy California of Spirit, we were label mates on Mentor Records' release "U.S. Rock 'n Roll Anthology Vol. 1."   I am published by music industry giant IMAGEM and continue to write, record and play live shows.  I welcome inquiries from those involved in the music business.  Currently I enjoy playing at local popular restaurants and beach bars where I meet people from all over.
