Patrick Mason and Rekids boss Matt Edwards return for their second appearance as SRVD with two cuts entitled ‘RAW FILES’.

Not confined to a single art form, Patrick Mason is a young creative at the forefront of Berlin’s art, fashion, dance music and LGBT scene; an influential club kid who developed a friendship with Matt Edwards after a chance meeting in Panorama Bar, resulting in numerous studio sessions and improvised live sets. Joining forces in 2018, the pair adopted their SRVD moniker – an alias inspired by New York’s vogue scene – before dropping their debut release on Rekids, playing at various clubs (notably Panorama Bar), not to mention an unforgettable performance at Boiler Room x Pornceptual.

‘The Yard Man’ presents rattling drums, piercing vocal chants and a tormenting melody that SRVD has been destroying dancefloors with over the last year. On the flip, ‘Brotha’ presents a compelling groove as a shuffling rhythm joins abrasive synths and Mason’s penetrating voice.

It’s time to unveil our first Summer V.A out into the world. We are pleased to have curated a selection of ten exclusive tracks from some of our favourite artists, just in time for one of the most important dates in the industry calendar.

The likes of Rone White & Alessandro Diruggerio, who have already well and truly cemented themselves as part of the Libero family, make a return to the label. With Tomi & Kesh, Charles Pierre and Antony PL being just a few of the guests to appear on our Summer V.A alongside Libero label heads Mike Morrisey, Luke Welsh and Dan Costello. This release offers a range of trademark Libero characteristics and plenty of individual signature productions too. 

Covering the broad boiling pot of underground, percussive-focused tech house, the V.A is layered with different vibes throughout. From uptempo, peak time hammer strikes like ‘Satisfy’ to stripped back vibe builders like ‘Mr Perc’, robust rolling grooves like ‘Euphoric’ to the bright bassline and colourful melodies of ‘Mudanza’; just a few of the tracks to suit all sorts of crowds and set times. 

We felt it necessary to fill our first official Summer V.A with a balance of established major hitters and promising production talents. The resulting outcome? We'll let you enjoy that judgement as much as we have.

Committed to keeping a devout audio signature with an emphasis on well constructed, groove-orientated, underground music; the Summer VA is proudly presented by Libero Records.

Italian DJ and producer, Fabio Ferro, continues to cement his reputation within the Tech House music scene with his latest single, ‘Krazy Gee’. Making his debut on Kaluki, Fabio follows up from releases on 1605, Kinetika, Familia and La Pera as well as countless appearances at clubs around the world. His tracks have been supported by numerous AAA DJs including the likes of Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, and Riva Starr. ‘Krazy Gee’ utilises percolating rhythms, moderating cymbals and sustained bass tones on top of the occasional snare roll and a catchy vocal throughout making a compelling track which is sure to get the dancefloor moving.

August is kicking in hard, the season is halfway gone, and elrow Music keeps tearing up dancefloors across the globe! To keep up the good pace, for our 162nd reference, elrow Music is bringing one of Britain's most interesting imports: Martin Ikin.

With two original tracks, Martin presents 'Rockin Beatz EP' that opens up with
the track naming the EP, in which Ikin starts building the energy with a drum progression with little more than a few FX and vocals on top, to then break into a danceable and groovy track, with a lot of focus around the vocal treatment along the track.

After, we have 'PWR (Original Mix)', a track in which Martin starts with a simple yet catchy drum progression, before breaking into a soulful, techy madness with a clear inspiration on the 90's sounds and vocals. The song maintains its momentum until the end, making this a really powerful track for any time in the floor.

All in all, another great discovery by elrow Music's team, that now becomes part of the big family! Stay tuned this August, as we're about to drop a big one!
