This is my first track for PSG Cabal, and honestly I'm really happy with how it turned out!
The song, made in Famitracker (and using the VRC6 module), is my first attempt at composing a "chiptune rhapsody", and it's directly inspired by the chemical element n. 34, Selenium. For example, the theme and focus of the song is the Moon, which is associated with Selenium's name; while the use of a 7/4 time signature comes from adding up the digits of Selenium's atomic number, 3 + 4.

I had a ton of fun composing this, I hope you'll have fun listening to it too! Thanks to y'all and PSG Cabal for the opportunity. <3"

Mercury Meltdown! Another one of my favorite games, right from my childhood, with a SPECTACULAR soundtrack I'm still impressed by after all these years. Because of this, and because the game is pretty darn underrated and/or unknown, I felt the need, in my smallness, to give it at least SOME of the exposure it truly deserves.
I hope someone out there will eventually make a Mercury Meltdown sequel or remake, because to me it honestly looks like a pretty interesting and unique concept, fun to play, and also very challenging at times.

This is my first VRC6 track! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. The instrumentation in the original song translated pretty well in the chiptune genre, and with the help of some instrument juggling (using more than 1 voice in a single channel), I think I gave some justice to the piano lead's rhythm complexity; you be the judge.

This time, I also created an animation for the song, all on my own, obviously by taking inspiration from the game, and then re-creating, texturing and adapting the sprites (and the mercury ball model) to be in "8-bit" style. It took some time, but I'm pretty sure it was worth the wait. The animation doesn't follow NES' or other consoles' standards, but I tried my best to make it as close as possible to the "8-bit"/pixel art style. I hope you like it!
By any means, feel free to let me know what you think about it (you can be honest). I've always been fascinated by the world of animations and pixel art, as well as any visual arts really. There are some really really talented artists out there. If I can, I'd really love to create more stuff like this in the future.
