Each of these talents, from established pedigree to young blood, from the widely traveled to more local, brings their own voice to bear for this carefully curated release: a seamless work that groans and reverberates, with the steady kick of a racing bassline throughout. From Wata’s strange and disorienting synths, to club resident Kancheli’s subversive electronics on Every Day in a Struggle, and Magna Pia’s tense and achromatic compositions through Angelis’ high pressure techno, every mood has a moment, and the evolution from first track to last will keep you firmly on the edge of your seat. But no need to sit, this is pure fuel for raving. Though each of these artists has their own wildly different spirit and vision for which direction your night-time adventures should take, this release unites them under a single banner, in a collage that reflects the eclectic and forward-looking nature of the label. Slamming beats and slick productions, this 11 tracker expertly channels Bassiani’s ethos and sound.

Dallas based Producer/DJ, and label owner specializing in hyper minimalistic, sci-fi-esque body music. His music has seen releases on legendary record labels such as Axis and Molecular, as well as on more contemporary imprints like Float, AMTK+, and his own Toca Records. His releases have garnered the support of many heavyweights including the likes of Jeff Mills, Rrose, Amotik, and Richie Hawtin, who invited him on tour extensively across North America, Europe, and India. Decoder's touring schedule has also seen many notable moments, having played at established clubs such as Knockdown Center, De School, Fold, Cialo, and Watergate, to name a few.

PREMIERE: Kohra - Atītachatrāka [Psylocybina]

Raucous rumblings and club centered grooves are the name of the proverbial game today as we premiere the latest from English imprint, Crescent London. The four tracker adeptly displays a wide array of auditory scope from a duo known as Abstract man. Ranging from the half-time thematic opening through to a thumping finish, it’s a well rounded release that works in many situations.

Flux, the title track of the release, brings the energy up a notch with steady percussion and bouncing saw-like synths that seem to shift and move through the beginning of the tune. Progressing on, a dark growl starts to emerge providing an aggressive edge that persists and compliments an atonal siren element.

Flux and the rest of Abstract Man’s release will be released on August 1st.

Eastern Timbres unites two of India’s forward-thinking artists under Prague- and Berlin-based Harmony Rec. Kohra, from Goa, and Monophonik, based in New Delhi, join forces on the label’s 21st release, reconnecting with its deep-techno roots while expanding into a wider network of electronic experimentation.

Some sort of heavy fog lifts as you delve into this release by Teik Arô. “Beyond The Tree” lets us in on a fractal orchard, revealing a bassline capable of lifting you off your feet, floating for its duration. 

Time seems to accelerate on the fragile pitches of “Embers From The Moon” and is euphorically reconstructed through the pulses of “Vicious Wipe Out” and freeze over on the weightless impermanence of “Insomnia”. 

“Morning Recipe” presents us with a hyperspeed, anxious euphoria, that seems to be lulled by the futuroid dub channels of “Cryptbloom”

Harmony marches eastward with its 21st EP, reconnecting with its roots through a collaboration with Kohra and Monophonik, out September 19th.
