This is the closest I've got to 'Finishing' this track. I really could play around with it forever lol. I called it Trap in the Genre box because the drums are but I don't know if that's really what Genre it is. Any suggestions welcome.

Its been a while

The Night The City Shook

The audio you’re hearing is is taken from a rehearsal earlier this week. This is a live recording I made using the built in mic in my macbook so the capture wasn’t the best. I hope you get the songs from what’s presented here for your listening pleasure.

*The First song is ‘The Night The City Shook’ a track to feature on my 2018 album ‘It’s Been A While’ 

It is a look at war and some of my opinions on the matter of what I see as legal murder and I believe should be banned for the good of the human race as a whole.


*The Second is inspired by the passing of my Aunty. Some people are just great and so was my Aunty. In my heart forever!

‘The Last Time We Met’ 

In this song I look at missed opportunities to be with the people that really matter in our lives. Time is short and death can come at any time. Let’s hope we have no regrets. 


*The Third song is ‘More Than I Can Take’  

Can someone tell the secrets to life? This song is about life and how it’s some times just too much and all at once. 

*The Forth song is ‘Fade Away’

Having plans for the future is great and o how I can sabotage myself. People don’t stick around for ever. Some live fast and die young, some live long and never live. There must be a balance to be found.

Meditation for all

Morning Meditation

Now a Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, 'AlphaGaunt' began off life on earth as Andrew Gaunt. Adopted at birth he felt something was different from those early days.

Now working under the moniker ‘Alpha Gaunt’ , an obvious play on His Birth name, acknowledging that we all have our own unique story.

Alpha Gaunt has always felt an empathy with those in positions of difficulty or suffering feeling a sense of vulnerability himself. Alpha Gaunt puts this down to the fact He was given away by his Birth Mother and the untimely Death of his Adopting Mother when Alpha was 7 years old. Struggling to come to terms with this Alpha became withdrawn and introspective and so began a life long mission for self expression which manifested itself, initially through poetry which latter turned to lyric writing and in turn songwriting.

With his childhood friend, Alpha Gaunt started his first band aged 21. Initially covering Metal and Hard-Rock songs. Feeling like 'just another covers band' wasn’t for him, he started writing his first lyrics with his friend writing the music.
After realising that being in a band was not quite as straight forward as he thought Alpha decided to learn guitar so he could use it for writing songs himself.

"The feeling of strumming a chord and singing a note sparked something deep within me and so the possibility of expressings my thoughts and feelings through songwriting dawned!"
