Oh, I remember this one, Tamora! I quite enjoy the reworking of it, and the story in the lyrics is definitely relatable to our current settings. This also fits emotions connected to grief, depression, and trauma, which is also fitting for the pandemic, too. Really well done, friend.

I really enjoyed the pattern of enumeration you went for. I think it's interesting and strong. It reminds me of some of my favorite Alanis Morissette lyrics. Also, your high notes sound so easy! I'm in awe, your voice sounds really healthy and strong.

This is about burnout.  But I also think it fits with the current times of the pandemic, whether its loss of livelihood or jobs, loss of a loved one, isolation (social distancing), displacement and more.

Collaboration with David and Laurie Easterling.

I took a chord progression David came up with as we were starting to collaborate, then brainstormed the first draft of the lyrics. Then David edited the lyrics to fit his way of singing it and we chiseled down extra stanzas to fit to length (not necessarily in that order).  I'll probably record another version sometime soon to improve the mix between the video's audio and the audio into DAW, possibly adding drums, bass too.
